Nordic Quartet Return For Huddersfield Clash

Charlton Athletic are delighted to confirm that former players Claus Jensen, Jonatan Johansson, Martin Pringle and Mathias Svensson will return to The Valley on Saturday, March 29th to watch the Addicks' clash against Huddersfield Town.
The quartet will be presented to the SE7 crowd on the day, giving supporters the opportunity to recognise their combined 16 years of service to the club.
They amassed 441 Charlton appearances across all competitions, playing a vital role in the Addicks' success under Alan Curbishley.
Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming all four players back to SE7.

Brilliant. I'm in an exec box for that game (Christmas present from my eldest) so will have access to the lounges

Claus is defo amongst one of my all time faves in a CAFC shirt, while I had a soft spot for all of the others. Have played the original fantasy league.com game for 28 years and my first ever Championship was in part landed by having JJ and Claus in my team around 2000. They got 15-20 goals between them and about the same assists. Terrific players. Cannot wait to meet them.8

I predict Svensson gets booked about 10 mins from time.21

Totally remember being underwhelmed with Svennson as a signing (from the stripy nigels) and then him being quoted in the press about it being easier to score in the prem than in the champ (where he was with the bleeding haemorrhoids) and laughing thinking oh yeah come on then mr cocky and pretty sure in his first substitute appearance at The Valley he scored a fairly smart header within minutes of coming on or is my mind playing tricks on me.Others were all legends anyway…0

wonder if Pringle has lost a yard or two off his pace?0

Is this part of Browny and Lisbie's Ex-Players Society, or whatever it's called.
Wonder if they all walk up to Curbs and say "Captain my Captain!"0 -
Well done for describing them as a Nordic quartet, rather than a Scandinavian quartet0

HH added - fantastic. Really looking forward to this.4

With the injuries to our forwards, can we ask them to bring their boots?5
-
What, no Rurik Gislason?7
-
I'd like to see Pringle recreate that miss where he put it over the bar from 2 yards.1
-
What about Charlton legends Simon Makienok and Frederick Ulvestad?

JJ was my first ever Charlton hero! legend!3
-
Ironically this is going to be one of the only home games this season I don't make, gutted!0
-
Nordic Quartet sounds like it should be starting in the 3.30 at Kempton Park.12

Where's Dennis? Is he gonna pop up in the last minute?13

I heard that Simonsen was supposed to be there too, but he's so far ahead of the rest of our players he turned up last week.13

Must admit i read the thread title and thought 'Aha' and then immediately checked to see if Aha wete predominantly a 3 piece or quartet.1

Looking forward to seeing them again on The Valley pitch. Maybe NJ can sneak them on with 10 minutes to go...0

The ex-players association is doing such a good job getting all these ex-players back. Amazing to see them all! Fair play Brownie, Lis & the rest of the team!7

It's a shame for them that the prestige of saying 'I played for Charlton Athletic' has so diminished since. They all deserve better. I especially loved Matty Svensson because he was a real worker with real passion.0
