When is the pre-season fixture released?

A group of Auckland Addicks supporters will be in London the first weekend of July, and we're obviously keen to watch the team in a pre-season game if possible.

    Season 2024/2025 fixtures were released about 18 June 2024 if I remember correctly.

    Thanks, I was hoping that the pre-season would be released earlier.
    I've flicked the club an email.

    I wouldn't have thought the first pre-season game would be that early tbh. Sometimes the team goes abroad & plays a couple of matches as part of a training camp. Would have thought the first games back in the UK would be around the 7th-10th July. 

    Also any pre-season games at The Valley wont be until the end of the month- usually the last game before the season starts. You might get lucky and find we play Dartford or Wimbledon at their place.....or even Bromley. We used to play Welling at Park View Rd in mid July but that game seems to have gone by the wayside.

    The game at The Valley for many years has been the weekend prior to the season starts.
    Sadly, for the kiwis, and many others who like to travel and organise things, the games are normally announced at different times and sometimes not completed until late June.

    I can see that in 2024, we played Dartford the first weekend of July (Sat 6th). If they do it the first weekend of July this year, it will be perfect!

    I would imagine any plans for pre-season is influenced by which league were playing in, hopefully the play off final will delay this.

    Could be true. However, we always played Welling (until recent years) whether we were in the PL, Championship or League 1.

    We will certainly play Dartford. I believe it's part of the deal that allows the U21s to play at their ground.

    Presumably this coming summer we won’t host any pre season friendly to protect the pitch and ask for our opening match to be away..,

    Something I heard today will make this more likely. Serious work on the pitch is required.
