So sad to see such an iconic comic actor pass away. George and Mildred was a superb sitcom- the acting was wonderful and the scripts very sharp and witty. Brian perfectly portrayed a character that will live long in the sitcom memory.
    RIP.

As a kid, I loved Man about this house & G&M. Back then I thought he was a pensioner, but he would've been in his 40's. Still, 92 isn't a bad innings.

Reminded of him every day when getting the train at Shortlands, he used to live opposite.
George and Mildred was a classic.
A great actor who led a wonderful life.
    Sleep well Sir.

    RIP Brian.
He lived in Siward Road Bromley (10 mins from me) for very many years, although I believe he moved away in more recent years.

My favourite memory of Brian was the Booze Cruise trilogy about 20 years ago. Feel good corny gentle comedy.  The suntan lotion scene with him and Neil Pearson was priceless.

He also had the place on the corner by the lights at Shortlands station.
I was in Tom Bells opposite the (C)Oakhill on the Bromley Road, he still had the same nasally voice.
