    Was crazily given a £65k a week contract in 2020 after 11 starts in the Premier League.

    Giving a 19 year old who hadn't really done that much yet (and still had 2 years left on his current contract) a £13.5m contract might have a) been too much too young and b) been a ludicrous thing to do even if he'd have stayed as a half decent squad player.

    Several recent exes on that list. 

    The newly released Potts
    Wickham, Hector and L Watson from last season. Indeed it's very surprising that Watson, who was released at the end of August, is still without a club, as he looked good enough to get an EFL club or a top NL one.
    I thought Watson was alright, definitely good enough for L2 I'd say, and we've had a lot worse in L1.

    Although I'd not want us to re-sign him!

    I liked Roofe at Rangers, not sure Nathan Jones would get on too well with him though.

    Surprising no one has taken a punt on Joe Morrell. I'm not suggesting we go in for him given his injury history but if the lad can get himself back fit at some point he'd be good. 

    Like others I had no idea laughing gas abuse was a thing. Wow!

    Brandon Williams is an interesting one. Seemed like he was going places at United then it obviously just fell away.

    Having a WB of his quality would be great but we cant/wont pay anywhere near what he wants I expect.

    when i walk the pup we often come across half a dozen large industrial size metal bottles (1ltr or so) of "Gold Whip"  Nitrous Oxide dumped in bushes. Someone must have a serious problem.

    Yeah I’ve seen those bottles, I just honestly had no idea it you could become addicted to it (that’s probably just my own naivety).

    There doesn't seem to be any obvious players in the areas that we need reinforcement unless there are some interesting releases on deadline day.

    Ironically there are quite a few left sided defenders , but we now have good cover in those areas

    I'd agree. He seemed a considerably better all round player in this league than the likes of Ahadme (IMO)
