And here are those actual socks!
Matchworn from the 1947 and so the oldest known piece of Charlton kit in existence.
None of the shirts are known to have survived and the story is that they were destroyed a few years later in an era and under a regime that didn't value such thing.

Here is David Croker with the socks and the Museum's FA Cup.
Our task now is to find the best way to preserve and present these socks but you can see them, and the FA Cup, when you visit the museum.
You can pick up and have your photo taken with the cup but not the socks!
