If Godden is 6'1, I'm claiming 6'7 going forwards.
That's one hell of a beer belly...
Harsh on Godden, he looks in good nick to me

Second half to the first is absolute chalk and cheese.
Stevenage look a slightly bit better version of Shrewsbury - Get the first goal and then become almost impossible to breakdown, they're clueless now they're behind

Kayne Ramsay is a proper footballer. Fast, strong, great tackler but also an intelligent passer. Really, really good player

We are looking really good. I don't wanna jinx it, but I can't see any way back for Stevenage.

I'd start thinking about getting Gilbert on with us in control like this

Last thing we want is to start making subs with Stevenage putting us under pressure, make the changes now and the changes can ease into the match more

Every week Docherty seems to get better the longer the game goes on.

I'd rather we don't change a thing whilst we're in control. Everyone looks comfortable. Nobody looking tired

Ssshh, way too early for optimism...🙄

We do have a problem in not having anyone as a direct swap for TC. He's done brilliantly again but he can't sprint at them all game and eventually he'll run out of puff. We've been content to let him torture them all game so far but when we have to take him off so he doesn't collapse we don't have an equivalent. Kanu can chase things down, Leaburn can hold it up and Chuks can Chuks but it would have been really nice to get some pace in as well
  • Good defending from Gillesphey to win a Goal Kick putting Hanlan under pressure - Proper Jekyll and Hyde individual

Interesting now we're 2 nil up we don't bother bringing the big lads up for a long throw in

Stevenage seem totally defeated. No complaints about us being slow when the ball is out of play, panicked decision making, no attempt to do anything other than head tennis. Get Gilbert on to settle into the team and give Berry a rest. At least another goal in this for us if we want it

Yeah they've just not pressured us like Blackpool did last weekend

Waste of a chance there by Berry, with Small in free space, shot goes well wide of the left hand post

I do think we need a third, right now 2-0 flatters Stevenage, but we know Charlton and football. 2-0 is a weird scoreline that is turned around all too often.

Yes we do need another goal, because the more will improve our goal difference

TC is playing well today. But let's not go overboard. He's still learning and is growing as a player, but he's far from the finished article.
