Was it the amount of extra time being played ?0

+6 minutes seemed like a bizarre amount of time. And then he kept the game going until +7.2

I'm not sure. At least 6 subs at 30s a sub, plus Small's injury when the physio came on - and their shithousery before we scored (throw ins and free kicks taking forever, and their keeper taking the piss). If Jones was complaining about 6 minutes it was only because we had scored what turned out to be the winner with a couple of normal time minutes to play. If we hadn't scored then he would have been raving that six minutes was not enough.6 -
He could just as easily have been complaining about the WWE-style defending Three Nipple Town employed at all our corners and free kicks around the box - the ref and linos let that go all night.
If we hadn't won it at the end he could have been moaning about the amount of timewasting the official let the oppo indulge in without punishment until an exceptionally late yellow ... but not to the keeper.
The amount of stoppage time could also have been an issue if hadn't won considering the timewasting, the subs, two penalties and the sending off. I said on the match thread that six minutes was nowhere near enough added.
The other, less palatable explanation ...
Nathan Jones is actually Golfie and needs to be moaning about something to prove he's alive.9 -
Yes…..the irony was that much of the added on time was as a result of Boro’s blatant time wasting……which conversely could have rebounded and bitten us the arse.
Anyway, we still don’t have the exact reason for his outburst?0 -

Thought this was going to be a montage meme of Jones antics in the sidelines!1

They don't stop the watch as such, but most modern watches the refs wear, be it the hublots in the premier league, or Apple Watches further down, will work out the exact amount of stoppage time as they'll be able to tap the screen to trigger additional time0

Just thought of a new rule to improve the game. All the time the GK has the ball (whether in play or not) should be added after normal time in additional time.1

Begs a semi-serious question. Should the powers that be ever actually get around to sorting out seriously dealing with the issue of timekeeping in football, should there be a separate clock for each team's timewasting, so situations like ours on Saturday don't end up being potentially disadvantagous to the "wronged" team when a late goal is scored?
So on Saturday for example, the time would only have been extended the length of legitimate stoppages.3 -
worth noting that it's a minimum amount of stoppage time, not the actual amount2
