Trump is now selling out Ukraine is it worth a show of support at the Valley, to let our American owners know how we feel ?

    I don't think it's taking a side on politics, that I totally agree with as it's an no win situation but the situation is now a lot more serious than day to day tory vs labour arguments. If people think it's not worth it, fine but it's good to gauge opinion surely.

    No one gives a shit about quite possibly the most unfashionable side in the leagues anyway so be surprised if Trump and international news will give a damn. Plus what's it got to do with our owners?

    Anyway where are the press trucks gonna go with all the parking restrictions?

    It was a question, it wasn't a directive or hoping to achieve anything but state if the USA doesn't support them, we still do or some of us still do. By the response people are not interested, which is fine, but I am of the opinion those people are fighting a war for us and Trump pulling out and doing a dodgy deal with a war criminal brings it closer to us, but people don't seem interested and that's in the majority.

    Some social media outlet will post a picture of it with a caption about how great/awful Charlton fans are with the comments saying the opposite. I'm glad we don't part take in these kind of things.

    Presumably you are party to all the conversations between all the stakeholders and diplomatic channels not including  the Orange one himself?

    Do it then mate. Bring some Ukrainian flags. Pass them out to others. No one will care (outside of Charlton) but least it's a worthy statement that you want to make.

    To give you some respect I appreciate that you feel strongly about this and that you believe a majority of fans are in sympathy with your position - already dodgy ground imo - but where do we stop?  The Paris accord.  Gaza.  The project to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico.  Greenland.  Canada.  The way he is pinging objectives out there we could be looking at tying up every match going forward.  I would say get some leaflets done or make a website and publicise it outside the ground, or in the ground if you want but I'm not sure appropriating the match is the way forward.

    On the other hand, if you are just trolling then please take some time out.

    A protest ? who said that then? err I must have got the fact that Trump is holding peace talks in Saudi with Putin and no one else all wrong then ?

    The damage is done now mate. Putin did what he did 4 years ago and he wasn’t stopped then. And Trump wasn’t in charge so it wasn’t up to him. And since then thousands on both sides have been killed. At least a settlement will stop the mindless killing otherwise it’ll just carry on getting worse. I don’t think Putin would agree on giving back what he’s already taken so we’d be back to square one. At this point it’s the better of two evils I’m afraid. That’s how I see it anyway. 

    Probably should close this thread as it will probably get out of hand.
