MANNION: 7 - but actually had nothing to do so really should be 9 RAMSAY: 9 - Great throughout JONES: 9 - Great throughout GILLESPHEY: 8 - A couple of errors SMALL: 7 - but should maybe more he was our consistent BERRY: 7 - makes the first goal COVENTRY: 9 - was superb covered massive amounts of ground ANDERSON: 7 - Good game EDWARDS: 7 - Good game GODDEN: 7 - Unlucky not to score the first T.CAMPBELL: 8 - great goal Referee: 8 - the best we have seen in a while.
MANNION: 6 RAMSAY: 8 too good for this league JONES: 7 GILLESPHEY: 7 SMALL: 7 constant menace BERRY: 6.5 COVENTRY: 7 ANDERSON: 7.5 best I’ve seen him play but should have scored EDWARDS: 7 They couldn’t get past him GODDEN: 6 T.CAMPBELL: 7 Referee: 5
MANNION: 7 Not much to do, but seems harsh to mark him down. RAMSAY: 7.5 Excellent performance, strong and fast. JONES: 7 Tough game up against Magennis and not so dominant. Still very good though. GILLESPHEY: 7 Excellent solid game. SMALL: 7 Causes lots of problems, but end product still needs working on. BERRY: 7 Solid game, great cross for first goal. COVENTRY: 7 Keeps us ticking. ANDERSON: 7.5 Worked his socks off. Broke up play very well. EDWARDS: 7 Another Very solid game. GODDEN: 6.5 Not as effective this game, but still decent. T.CAMPBELL: 8 Great game and lovely, well taken and well deserved goal. Referee: 6 Mostly quite good.
MANNION: - 7 Little to do, but what he did have to do, he did well. Just a personal view, but prefer him to AMB. As he is a) more commanding in the box and, b) has a better kick on him.
RAMSAY: - 8 Absolutely outstanding. His ball control in tight areas is incredible. Never seems to get dispossessed. Great assist for the 3rd goal.
JONES: - 7 A rare case of him NOT being our best defender. Had a real tussle with Magennis. More credit should be given for his passing. Very rarely gives the ball to the opposition.
GILLESPHEY: - 7 Pretty faultless, bar for the poor tackle late in the game, that earned him a yellow card. Even then, a degree of "taking one for the team". Part of a Red Wall that has earned us 14 clean sheets this season.
SMALL: - 6 My friends and I have come up with a new rule for Thierry. "One trick, and get rid". It goes wrong, when he tries 2 lollipops or dummies. I think this is the first game in his new advanced position, where I don't remember him having a shot. Decision making still needs work.
BERRY: - 6.5 Excellent free kick lead to our first goal. A few good tackles in attacking positions allowed us to keep possession in dangerous areas. I really don't get fans determination to drop him from a team which is in such good form. (When was it we last dropped points at home?) "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
COVENTRY: - 7.5 Another game when he ran the midfield. Another case when the opposition had a chance to counter in the 2nd half, only for Conor to instantly snuff out the danger. Getting the 2nd goal allowed NJ to substitute him, to avoid another yellow card.
ANDERSON: - 8 I was critical of him early on, as I thought he was too far from Coventry some times, unlike Doc had been in recent games. However, he got stronger and stronger as the game wore on. Some of his interplay, particularly with TC was excellent. As for the misses? It is Berry's job to get up into those positions, so another midfielder doing it, can only be a good thing. And I don't think Karoy is renowned for his heading ability. A very good return to the starting line up.
EDWARDS: - 7 Josh does so much good work, in such an unfussy way. Get's up and down the pitch, wins his challenges, both on the ground and in the air, takes corners and long throws. Maybe doesn't look as glamorous as Ramsey, but for each Ferrari in the team, you need a Range Rover...
GODDEN: - 6.5 Not his best performance of our recent run, but still won more headers than he should have, and better at linking up play than anyone else we have.
T.CAMPBELL: - 8 MotM (just!) Exeter couldn't deal with him. His pace gave them problems all game. And his strength at keeping the ball has come on leaps and bounds this season. And shows a determination that has been lacking in the last few seasons. Got a (good) goal that his recent performances have deserved.
MANNION: 7 did what he had to do well RAMSAY: 8 a star player JONES: 7.5 leader and had McGuinness in his pocket GILLESPHEY: 7 confident performance SMALL: 7.5 didn’t all come off today but gave them a lot to worry about BERRY: 7 mixed bag of set pieces COVENTRY: 7.5 did his usual ANDERSON: 9 complete performance EDWARDS: 8 so combative GODDEN: 7 one of his quieter games T.CAMPBELL: 8 ❤️ Referee: 4 missed a blatant penalty (and also a v obvious shirt pull by Edwards)
MANNION: 6. May as well have sat next to me in the stand RAMSAY: 9. MOTM. Broke up anything that came near him with ease & drove forward with real purpose JONES: 7 GILLESPHEY: 7 SMALL: 7 BERRY: 7 COVENTRY: 6 ANDERSON: 9. Best game in a Charlton shirt EDWARDS: 8. Solid and threatening GODDEN: 7 T.CAMPBELL: 8. Kept them on their toes and topped off with a clinical finish Referee: 6. Can't recall him having any big decisions to make
MANNION: 6 - Very little to do, and his kicking was awful RAMSAY: 7.5 - Very good JONES: 7 - Excellent game overall, but beaten in the air a lot by Magennis GILLESPHEY: 6.5 - Quiet game for Macca SMALL: 6 - Coasted the second half BERRY: 4 - Even more anonymous than usual COVENTRY: 7.5 (MoM) - Excellent overall game pushing the team onwards ANDERSON: 7.5 - Ran his heart out and caused them lots of problems, but should have scored... EDWARDS: 6 - Did OK GODDEN: 6 - Worked hard for little opportunity T.CAMPBELL: 7 - Kept trying hard and finally got his reward Referee: 6 - I thought he had a very good first half but bottled the big decisions (red card, two penalties...)
