Any suggestions for away friendly pubs ?

Would recommend The Leyton Star (16 minute walk/10 min bus), or the Hare and Hounds is next to the park that borders the ground (24 minute walk/ 18min bus) to the stadium. Travel to Lea Bridge Station to go to the Hare and Hounds.

The Leyton Engineer/The Coach & Horses is the closest ones (but I would imagine they are packed with Home Fans).
  • Balls to that.

Anyone been to the McDonalds on Leyton High road??

Last time I went a few seasons back, none of the pubs around ground and on high street were allowing those in Charlton shirts in. No idea how it's been in recent seasons though.

The Coach and Horses is a very nice pub, but home fans only on matchdays. The Leyton Engineer is home only also.

Even when we weren't playing them?
  • We went to the Northcote Arms (110 Groce Green Rd, E11 4EL) on Boxing Day last season, 15 min walk to the away end. It’s a really nice old school boozer with good beers on tap. It did say “home fans only” outside but we didn’t have any bother and just behaved like reasonable human beings.

Generally though the pub situation around Orient’s ground is as bad as ours for away fans. Will probably drink somewhere en-route or just not bother drinking at all for the match on Saturday.
  • Looks like it’s Wetherspoons in Stratford then !!!

Out gang has a table booked there @ 12noon  for drinks & pizza.
  • For the game on New Years Eve MANY years ago I drunk in Walthamstow and took a 10 minutes bus ride to the ground.
Alternatively get off one tube stop either side of Leyton and go for a drink there.

I have never had a problem at the Birkbec, I Derby mate told me if discreet you can get to the bar at the ground, wins many CAMERA awards.

Home only judging by my research
  • Another vote for the Leyton Star
  • Home only should mean don’t wear colours and don’t be a prick

As long as you abide by those rules should be fine at Orient

Sometimes, there’s someone on the door asking to look at your match ticket.
