Saw her in the intimate setting of the Blue Note Club in New York - a memorable evening, our group seated just beside the stage.
Saw her again in Wellington, this time in more of a concert Town Hall setting. Unfortunately her set didn’t start for 45 minutes during which time the slow hand claps were accompanied by foot stamps. When she finally came on full of apologies and unfortunately full of a cold as well - a handkerchief on the piano - she gave a performance which we loved.
