Jagermeister - tastes (and looks) like a medicine I got given as a child.
I can't understand why it exists. Surely nobody actually looked that flavour?!

    Fosters - kindergarten lager.

Budweiser - you're at a house party, you fall asleep on the sofa and wake up at 6am dying of thirst. You pick up a random half finished bottle of beer that's been sitting there getting warm and going flat for the last 4 hours. That flavour is Budweiser.

    Spiced Rum

Traditionally drunk after a meal to settle the stomach!

Shots and bombs are just a marketing trick!

I wonder if that was the problem. If it was spelt like that, maybe he's just tried some poor counterfeit version.

I'll throw in John Smiths, the ale version of Fosters. There might be instances where it's ok on draft (though I doubt it) but the canned version is a headache and biliousness in a tin.

A few years back when I worked in Chapel Place (next to Debenhams) me and two mates all had birthdays within three weeks of each other. We used to do a filthy lunch hour at Meat Liquor, and have three Wray & Nephs each.

Fuck me, the afternoons back at the office were a bit hazy... 🤣

If anyone ever finds themself in the greater Chicago area, order a shot of Jeppson’s Malort, I promise it will put an end to any debate on the topic

My company sells it here in Wisconsin and the distillery that makes it refers to Malort as The Champagne of Pain

Gin - never understood the fascination
IMHO…….neat gin is in fact pretty nasty stuff but it lends itself to mixers of all manner of flavours and textures, thus making it a must for any decent drinks cabinet and right there is the very understandable and worthy fascination…..as you put it.
