  • Barnsley started well, but as the game progressed our fitness nullified them - and they went out in a whimper

Just been thinking, when was the last time we conceded a goal from open play inside the box? Rotherham!?

Edit: been a bit optimistic with that stat on retrospect- there goes my career on Sky...

Look out for Saturday 15th March:

    Bolton v Stockport
    Wycombe v Wrexham

    Points to be dropped there!

The week after looks a bit tasty too with Hudds v Wycombe and Wrexham v Stockport - there's still a lot of football to be played til the end of the season so who knows all we can do is keep winning games and putting pressure on the teams above!
It'll all come down to who can hold their nerve.

  • Can we sign their number 40 best player on the pitch by a country mile. Huffed and puffed and got over the line to a decent footballing side... In my view.
Keilor-Dunn won't be playing in League One next season, much too good.

Was he the big bad wolf?

Bizarre to think he's 27 and has mostly played for Mansfield, Burton and Oldham. The guy looks absolute quality.
He looked quality today. I checked his stats across the past few seasons and they are pretty incredible for a midfielder.

  • Barnsley were very slick at times, made it like Berry and Docherty weren’t on the pitch.

Maybe thought he saw the legendary Bailey penalty re entering the earths atmosphere ?
  • Another win, thought we controlled the game well 2nd half and they didn't really have a chance.

1st half they started strong, onto Saturday but we're looking good at the moment

  • Anyone else think it's painful watching Chuks these days when he comes on?
    He looks awkward and immobile.

    Exactly.

Charlton still have to take care of their own results, irrespective of what other sides do.
Win our own games, get the points in the bag, keep the momentum.

Knowing that other promotion chasing teams still have to play each other.

He was only on for a few minutes. And is often trying too hard. But our record while he is on the pitch is outstanding and his strength scares opponents. I still want him on that pitch if we’re 1-0 down more than anyone else.
Problem is he doesn't do any closing down giving our opponents carte Blanche to get the ball forward. He looks so cumbersome, no pace and I wouldn't trust him to come up with a goal if we needed one. Just my opinion.
