Has to be “Humphrey for England”.0

Kingsley
Genuinely have no idea
Humphrey (but only on the basis that Jacko will get his turn in future years)0 -
Have to agree.aliwibble said:Love Jacko and Newton, but the fact that Humphrey isn't already in the Hall of Fame is a travesty IMO.And can still be found attending matches at The Valley.3 -
If you don’t vote for Humphrey then you are wrong1

I said it previously. The fact he missed out to Holland last year shows the pitfalls of the voting system adopted. An absolute disgraceLewis Coaches said:

I used to think that those who played 20-30 years ago would be at a disadvantage compared to more recent players. However I find that I cant remember half of those that played in the past 5-10 years. Is it a sign of old-age or that so many players have been used who remain eminently forgettable?0

The latter. We have employed a number of shirkers masquerading as footballs in the last decade.Hal1x said:I used to think that those who played 20-30 years ago would be at a disadvantage compared to more recent players. The three new players elected into the Hall of Fame for 2025 are as follows:-
Pre-1950 Scotty Kingsley - 43% of the vote. (Runner-up George Armitage)
1951-85 Len Glover - 47%. (Runner-up Billy Kiernan)
1986 to date Johnnie Jackson - 59% (Runner-up John Humphrey)
The names of the winners will be added to the Honours Board in the Museum, while the three runners-up will go forward to next year's vote.1 -
There's no perfect system, but players do benefit from being the most recent in their categories, so that more people remember them, and suffer from being the earliest. If the middle category had been 1950-1990, then I'm sure more of the Lennie side would have been entered by now.Hal1x said:I used to think that those who played 20-30 years ago would be at a disadvantage compared to more recent players. Delighted that Scotty Kinglsey, described by Colin Cameron as "possibly the most important player in Charlton history" has finally made it.
Congratulations to JJ and Lenny too2 -
Slight problem with updating the board today but it was spotted in time and will be fixed.
