This might have influenced the spike with prices with the club thinking the demand has gone up anyway.
I am surprised at the jump, the Valley still felt empty bar about 4 games
Figure makes sense to me.
That's all football is, teams win, fans turn up, all the rest is just noise. We will start selling the Valley out if we are in a promotion race. It's unlikely of course, but all these other ticket strategy sales are nonsense long term. Just got to get a good football team on show and the fans come back. They are also hindered by having an away stand that holds 4,800, but is often restricted to 2,000 for big clubs or trouble clubs (Portsmouth only got 2,000). Plus away turn outs are much lower than other London clubs on the whole anyway, Stoke City took 1,300 as one example. As an aside, the average was more than a 1,000 down from the previous season. Going from 16,540 (with 11 home sell-outs) to 15,492 this season (with 6 home sell/outs). This can most likely be attributed to the number of games that were on tv at 12:30pm on Saturdays & all midweek games being on tv. Millwall are very much a club that rely on walk ups. They still filled 80-90% of home seats, despite a poor / middling season up until the last month.NB: As an aside, six clubs averaged between c15,500 and 16,500, including Millwall. Now, as this is a thread about the season ticket prices (and knock on effect on match day prices), Millwall were probably the highest revenue generators amongst them, given their pricing. However, they do have London costs. But it shows how important every pound is, perhaps?6 -

Worst troll everLook, as I keep saying… I am more a Charlton follower than fan(atic). I am interested in all clubs. I have read up on the history of all clubs. I have a very good memory. I have a particular insight into Millwall due to family (I was taken by my granddad, as my nan worked the pools around The Den) and I sometimes go with the missus. I get that the mere mention of them upsets a lot of Charlton fan(atic)s, but I have not written a single trolling post. I have just offered an insight, often when people have posted something that is factually wrong or misrepresented. Again, I get why that’s upsetting for people that simply want to run them down. But as a history lover & someone who enjoys facts & stats, I just can’t help but say ‘well, actually…’
However, I think is a bit sad that a grown man is stooping to accusing someone of ‘trolling’ just because they don’t like a certain football club. Grow up. And as an aside, if I have a soft spot for anyone, it is Tottenham Hotspur. I asked for a Spurs kit for Christmas 1987, as got taken by a mate to Spurs v Portsmouth (1-0 to Pompey!). That was the team I loved. But was whisked off to a Charlton game by my dad, who refused to get me the Spurs kit! I had bought a Spurs scarf though, and took it to a Charlton v Spurs game, much to my dad’s displeasure.I’m like those army kids that don’t have an accent etc, as they are always moving around. I follow Charlton, have a soft spot for Spurs and Millwall. But used to go to Wimbledon games in mid 90s to see the top players of the day too. Sorry 🤷🏻♂️8 -

We don't want history lessons about other clubs and we definitely don't want so many threads banging on about you know who.
This is a Charlton forum.

https://millwallonline.com/forum/forums/football-talk-north-stand-banter.6/I only reply to people who bring them up!!
Interestingly, I find it is men that get like this over football. Female fans tend to enjoy talking about football in general far more. They aren’t so into willy waving etc. Obviously.0 -
I’ve changed my profile photo… as fair enough, that was a wind up, but only because people kept going on!! But yep, probably a poor joke.0

1. Do you like pie and mash and would you be deeply offended, in fact froth at the mouth, if somebody said you prefer gravy to liquer?
2. Do you feel uncomfortable if you're not wearing a Lacoste and a flat cap?
3. Do you spend most of your time at the den doing throat slitting signs to teenage away fans?
4. Do you wish you weren't the only team in south london never to have won a major trophy?
Its a simple yes / no answer for each please, which i hope will be simple enough.

How would people feel if Charlton introduced this way of earning extra points?
