Can’t go to this one as the band I play in have a gig at the Bear and Ragged Crayford that night, so if we get a result please join us at the Bear and Ragged to celebrate.
There is always a chance we could be playing them twice more within days after this match.
Hmmm. Not sure what permutations would be needed for the 2 clubs to finish 4th & 5th (only way we would play them in the play offs bar the final) but in any case I would say its very very highly unlikely.
I know some won’t like it but I’m happy I can now watch this on TV.
It’s not bad news for all supporters.
Always the way when games are moved. It'll inconvenience some people and be good news for others.
It could've been worse though, as it could've been moved to a Friday or Monday night which would've been much worse than a Saturday evening (in my opinion).
would be nice if they took into account the travelling supporters, whoever they are - with a few exceptions for course! Especially somewhere like Wrexham
Let's think about the 1k who would travel instead of the millions who would.watch, what a stupid idea.
How is it 'a stupid idea'???? I never for a minute thought or suggested they would. I know perfectly well how it works! I was just saying it would nice if they did

I love all this carping about match times & cant get back home....blah blah blah.
Go by car or by Valley Express. Thats what I'd be doing. But I wont be able to get a ticket seeing as I've only got 175 points.
So, stop moaning. Otherwise don't take up your allocation & let some other bugger go who doesn't mind that it's on at 5.30 and will drive it go by coach.
Why have you only got 175 points?
Go more away games and then you can start calling out people that actually do go.
He doesn't have many points because he doesn't score enough goals and keeps trying to rely on clean sheets.
Does anyone know of any pubs in Hastings that would be showing the game ?
Only problem may be that another channel might be showing a Premiership game (or similar) and the locals want that on rather than our game. Check that out first to avoid disappointment mate.🤞🤞🤞

No other league game at 5:30, but one of the FA Cup semis might be on at that time.

It will be crap trying to find a pub to watch it if all the pubs are showing Palace if it did turn out that's the time of their FA cup game.
Anyway can anyone recommend a good bar in downtown Paphos? Ta
It's all to do with the recent multi-year partnership between the English Football League (EFL) and CBS Sports which promises to bring the thrill of English football to a broader American audience. This comprehensive deal ensures that over 250 EFL matches per season will be broadcast, encompassing the Championship, League One, League Two, the Carabao Cup, and the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
The appeal for American viewers is really clear. The EFL has achieved the distinction of being the highest attended league body in Europe, with more than 21.5 million fans through the turnstiles in the 2023/24 season. The vibrant atmosphere and passionate fanbase of English fans is now accessible to U.S. audiences, offering an authentic taste of English football culture.
To cater to this growing international viewership, certain match kick-off times have been adjusted. Its therefore no surprise that Wrexham v Charlton has been rescheduled to 5:30 PM to better align with both West and East Coast U.S. time zones. While this clearly poses real challenges for us "local" fans who were planning to attend in person, it will significantly enhance accessibility for thousands of Addicks who can now enjoy the multi-camera TV production from the comfort of our homes.
Of course, it's always preferable to cheer for our team live in the stands, the reality is that television networks play a pivotal role in modern football scheduling. The silver lining is that this expanded coverage allows more fans, both domestically and internationally, to stay connected with Charlton's journey throughout the season.
Let's embrace this opportunity to showcase the passion and excitement of Nathan Jones Addicks and our supporters who make the trip to Wrexham to a global audience. Whether watching from the stands or tuning in from abroad, our collective support continues to drive the Addicks to hopefully the Play Offs and who knows what? .......Its just great to have our Charlton back and enjoying an exciting season again.
No ice, no alcohol, no fun or frivolity. Just a 12 hour round trip with your fellow supporters engaging in meaningless chat about old Charlton players from the 90s, why we should keep Tennai Watson and total and utter suffocation

No alcohol? You’ve got to be joking!
Plenty of alcohol if you know how to hide it. Just make sure you are discreet and don't get caught.
Eugh my missus has booked a meal with all our mates for 6.30pm!
This is genuinely a disaster
If having to tell your missus 3 weeks in advance that you’re no longer coming to a meal is being classified as a disaster, how would you describe a plane crash?

I’ve watched a few games in O’Neills over the years B. Big bar, great terrace, with TVs all over the place showing different sports channels. They’ll put it on for you, if it isn’t already showing. It’s at Tombs of the Kings, Avenue 60. Heading out of Paphos towards Coral Bay, it’s part of a parade set back from the main road on the right hand side. Good food too 👍🏻

Amazed we have people like you following Charlton. I assumed all the armchair supporters were top 6 obsessed.
My father in laws funeral is on St George’s Day, so himself will already be on Ynys Môn. Me? I’m at home minding the animals & humans in the cottage. Ah well, best laid plans.
As Bert was a Man Yoo fan I think he’ll want my mighty Addicks to stuff the Yanks 😜

It’s not just a coach journey
Have Valley express details been announced? Can’t believe I’m considering that. My lad is absolutely gutted it looks like we won’t go now

Having 830 loyalty points and not being in phase1 is completely naff. Hope we go up so I ain't got to worry about this bollocks as much anymore.
