Matchday parking

I am driving up this Saturday for the first time in years, I usually get the train so haven’t had to find parking for a long time now. I used to go near Travis Perkins but don’t think that’s possible now. So does anyone have any decent suggestions? Happy to walk about 15 mins if needed, got my 4yr old in tow though (no doubt he will end up on my shoulders!) preferably free parking but I guess that’s hard to find nowadays…

In the absence of a decent bus/ train question, i'll suggest anywhere near Belvedere station and get a direct train from there.

For a 3pm kick off ?  🙄🤷‍♂️.  Not going to take 90 mins to walk the 100 yards from Harvey Gardens....🤔.

(Yes I know you need to park early to ensure a space.....)

I think that's full now! Tried to get on it earlier in the week.

Just Park does have a few options.

Rose of Denmark is free if you are going to drink there

I've parked there a couple of times.
    He charges £15 per car.
Which is cheap enough if there's 4 of you in a car.
Downside is the police and stewards close the road to cars 90 minutes before kick off.

I've seen it closed at the Charlton Lane end 2.5 hours before KO at 5pm.

no problem. He can then show his four year-old the delights of the fans’ bar for an hour and a half.

Roads round westcombe park station have 2 hrs free parking. Can park there and get a train there and walk back, train both ways (if tou can face the queue) or walk both ways.

Takes me 15-20 mins, may be a long old walk back with a 4 year old on your shoulders.

Very very unlikley to get a ticket on a saturday if you are 3 hours.

South of Charlton Park but fills up an hour before kickoff and is a pain to get out of afterwards. Get there early and have lunch or tea and cake in the cafe in the park
  • South side of Charlton Park no longer an option?  (Canberra Road?).

Been a long time since I drove to a game.

Yes you can still park there but you have to get there early. At least two hours before the game.

Im driving in as well, first time in ages. Normally park Eastcombe avenue. A longish walk in but usually a space, unless it's not possible to park there any more

Nice one! Parked there, no problem. Did notice that they have permit parking and a two hour Max... Got away with it today, wondering how strictly that's enforced?

Greenwich council has taken parking wardens back in house. They do random checks around the Charlton on match days.
