What a thought process.RonnieMoore said:Let’s not forget we can offer players extra week off
Luton back in training, i know, i'll sign for Charlton so i can get the rest of the week off.
Unconfirmed reports that next week he's signing for Al Nassr, as they're not back in training for another 2 weeks.27 -
I dont know anything about this Kaminski, but I do think Mannion is a very good goalkeeper and I hope he stays. Not seen many better at claiming crosses for us, and Luton fans say this is a weakness of Kaminski. Although I do feel Mannion conceded a few too many from outside the box albeit the odd wonder strike.Ross said:
Arguably you'd want to keep Mannion over AMB as second choice, and I agree with your view. However, Mannion may feel that he wants first team football having been our number one this season. Will he be happy to sit on the bench? I could see both going...fenaddick said:
AMB will definitely be off, would assume we would aim for a sale. Think injuries massively hampered his development and it is unlikely he'll be good enough to play in the Champ. Will get a good move to a high end L2/lower-mid L1 sideDamoNorthStand said:That's a true number 1 keeper. No doubts there. He goes straight in.
Wonder what it means for Mannion / Ash? Do we have 3 keepers in the champ?1 -
Won't be signing any free agents then.RonnieMoore said:Let’s not forget we can offer players extra week off
"Sorry i know you've got the whole summer off, but we start next Monday, you interested?"5 -
Seems pretty unanimous on a Luton fans' Facebook page - they've got the hump that Kaminski's leaving.8

Just to let you know I don't believe signings have to be announced on the hour. I'm going for 2.03pm.MarcusH26 said:Confirmed by Cawley now so it's probably 1pm announcement time.8 -

We have needed a good Belgian Shepherd to go with our sniffer dog, something to get the tails wagging0

I can see the argument but I expect that Kaminski is seen as more experienced overall (so better at organising and leading the defence) and a better shot stopper which in the Championship will probably be more of a priority.balham red said:

Mannion is probably a bit unlucky in that he was apparently signed with more to a future role, took his chance very well but loses out again now due to pragmatic reasons. I still think he's a future number one keeper in the championship and hopefully for us.3 -

Here is a link to lots Kaminski saves - IMO some good shot stopping saves and great positioning, particularly getting his body behind the ball (producing saves with his feet) little concern is he parries a lot of these shots in front of goal ! Luckily he is quick and very very agile to grab the ball while loose. He’s definitely a good upgrade - What’s you opinion?4

That’s all well and good but if he’s only signed with us for the extra week off then I would seriously question his work ethic and dedication, especially with the tough season ahead of us.TheAddicks4Ever said:Here is a link to lots Kaminski saves - IMO some good shot stopping saves and great positioning, particularly getting his body behind the ball (producing saves with his feet) little concern is he parries a lot of these shots in front of goal ! 80% of Blackburn fans would take him back

Real coup getting Kaminski in, would be interested to know if any other Champ clubs have made an approach to him4

I’m expecting this to be the first of a number of signings that come in as first choice in their position.
That may seem harsh on last seasons regulars, but it’ll be good evidence of the owners ambitions and our budget.
There’s no point spending millions on a club in L1 if the aim is nothing more than finishing 21st in the Championship. I think NJ will be aiming for mid table as a minimum, and that’s achievable with the right signings and a big enough budget.38 -
New Reebok goalkeeper kit released today then…to go with welcoming Kiminski 👍🏻3

Nathan will be aiming for a play off place at least whether he publicly says so or not.Scoham said:I’m expecting this to be the first of a number of signings that come in as first choice in their position.

Yes, but can he save penalties? Neither of our current goalies have excelled in this area.
