No rumours but I really hope Rylah and Casey get loans. I think it will do both good.M'bick, Enslin, Mwamba could probably do with a year around our first team whilst playing regular U21 minutes and go out next year depending on their progress.I would like to see us bring in another CB and send Z Mitchell out to a good L1 team but doubt it will happen. Not sure on Gough and Laquretabua.Fullah should get minutes in the first team.5

Whatever happened to Casey had interest from Celtic and Brighton was meant to be our next big talent and seemed to fallen off a cliff0

JRS was at Wembley celebrating with our team. Never say never. Would love him to be the YK magic, wherever he fits.9

Were would JRS even fit in though if we did make a last minute move for him. Problem with the TC role is that you’re forcing him to play wide left/through the middle which sort of limits him of his best attributes of cutting in on his right foot. Stats at Sheffield united suggests he’s worked a lot on his defensive side of the game and think he would be a perfect alternative to Apter at the RWB/RW role and obviously squad depth is important but Apter feels like a player we really shouldn’t be limiting minutes especially for a loan signing0

Z.Mitchell to go out on loan & two players to come in before the window slams shut.CB & WB3

wolfgang said:It is obvious who we are going for: Shinnosuke Fukuda. The final piece to complete the jigsaw. Charlton and Kyoto Sanga are in a staring-down match to see who cracks first. If Kyoto do not sell him before his contract expires they will lose a large fee (maybe 550,000 dollars). Our good start to the season should convince Fukuda he would not be joining relegation fodder.1

Fukuda has also captained them but there's clearly a reason why they rejected our loan offer and accepted one for the guy who went to Mainz. Perhaps the Mainz guy was more easily replaceable? They haven't lost in the league since he left and he was sold 7 weeks ago.
Kyoto haven't said they won't sell Fukuda, just that they'll only sell him for the price they want.3 -

I think it's very high risk settling a Japanese player into our squad without any support infrastructure. If he was Jamaican he will have a ready built network. If we do it we should get in half a dozen.5

I watched highlights of the game he scored in. The quality of defending in general looked comical. NJ and PC must’ve seen something different in him.0

I think the first key to surviving (and hopefully thriving) in the Championship is player quality. The second is squad depth – and that’s not something we’ve been used to in League One. The last couple of times we were up here (under Bowyer, then Peeters/Luzon), the starting XI was fine, but once injuries hit, we were paper thin.
The Championship is a proper squad game. You can change half your outfield players from a bench of nine, and at the moment we’re actually able to bring on players who are as good as, or sometimes better than, the ones they’re replacing – players like Tanto and Knibbs. The problem comes once the injuries kick in, because then that option disappears. JRS would get minutes, and I’m sure NJ would be pushing hard for a bit of extra spend if the chance came up to sign him.
