Memory Tricks

Can anyone please help to jog my memory? My dear old Mum hated football and my Dad only ever persuaded her to go to one Charlton match. It was a friendly and would’ve been in the early 1960s. I seem to recollect it was against Spartak Moscow but can find no mention of it on the Internet. Did this match happen or did I imagine it? Was it another team ? Thanks in advance.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a programme for this match, possibly on eBay or perhaps at the museum

We have a travel clock from this game in the museum.

Not sure if was presented to or by CAFC.

Looking at that programme, that East Terrace looked rammed, takes me back a bit that picture, when you could watch from the South stand one half and swap with The Covered End second half, whichever way we were kicking, and a whole tanner for a programme, what a wonderful thing memories are eh...🙄

I'm sure my grandson doesn't believe me that you could change ends at half time for the end you were attacking.
