The Cotton Mill micropub Swanley

Darent Valley and Gravesend CAMRA branch pub of the year.
Used to be the public toilets and local taxi service office.
Has anyone been in there? Looking for somewhere to take real ale drinking Mr Tatters for an evening.

Not drunk in there but lived just up the road & passed it most days. Not many places to sit, or even stand and no real cover so if the weather is a bit iffy then you are open to the elements. So my advice.......if you must go then go on a nice day.

Yeah I've been there a couple of times. Very small inside. Friendly staff.
Went there once when a band was on and a barbeque which was free, well at least I think it was as I was just given some food. Was very busy. There's a few benches outside and a bit of foliage to disguise where you are a tad. It opens late afternoons.

A couple of times - last time maybe three years ago? It's really good. Best on a sunny day/evening when you can sit outside.
  • They have added a huge wooden canopy in the garden now, which will keep you dry on those not so sunny days. It is also a bit bigger inside now as they knocked through to the old cab office bit. Give it a go if you like real ale and cider. Lots of choice.

    Sounds ideal. Thanks folks!
  • Love the place, live just down the road
  • Comedian Mark Steel came from Swanley and included the area during his 'In Town' program on Dartford  :)

It's 3 minutes 47 seconds in if you can't wait - not a great recommendation re the pubs btw.
