This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England
Happy St George's Day to everyone who celebrates it in England (even though we're not supposed to celebrate it until next week). And Georgia (although they celebrate him on 23 November and 6 May), Catalonia, Portugal, Greece, Serbia (6 May) and Ethiopia. And to all the great Georges.

I know that no one loves a smart arse but it isn’t today. As 23rd April falls within Holy Week, this year it will be on 28th April. I only found out about this today
I bet they dont move St Patrick's Day. And if they did I bet the media/hospitality/ pubs would have 2 "green" days.

It doesn't mean I am not patriotic but I am not bothered about this day. It is just like any other day to me. I am not religious so don't have affinity towards saints. I do want the best for my country every day.
Every year there’s always something/someone to try and belittle the day, he wasn’t English, he didn’t exist, he never came to England, the dates wrong zzzzzz
Who cares!?
It’s one day a year to celebrate being English and that’s all I care about

Is that the famous Englishman, George Best?
Anyway, enjoy the day everyone!
It's a group of great Georges. Like St George, they're not all English.
