Warning Not To Buy Women's Programmes From Website

I recently purchased two women's programmes from the official website. Each programme cost £1 and there was a £1.50 admin fee. Total £3.50.

Received an email saying they were on there by mistake as the club does not have copies of them and that I would be refunded. Refund appears and is only £2. When I queried this I was told the £1.50 was an booking fee and would not be refunded.

I am awaiting a reply to my further email suggesting it was wrong to charge me for their mistake and me not receiving anything.

The two programmes are still available to buy on the website.

  • WTF - that is a joke and probably against some kind of rule
  • Technology and a bit of old fashioned Charlton efficiency. What a pain.
  • Just put the payment into dispute, you’ll get the money back

Agreed. If anyone could be bothered enough for £1.50. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If this happens to lots of people then it would be more than £1.50 and could be construed as fraud.

The actual amount isn't the point though.

But it's not just the OP that is losing out is it. I'd imagine that the total level of fraud based on on-line purchases of non existent women's programmes could be as high as £4.50.
  • Quite possibly one of the most Charlton threads ever.
  • Hmm, I think they must have caught hundreds of us today in the £1.50 racket.
I had to make 2 separate purchases as our S/T seats were unavailable @11.30am, so had to wait until they were (like loads of others).
