Bonus ticket

With all the issues with season ticket holders last week trying to secure their seat, would it not be as an act of loyalty and bonus to include the home leg of any potential home game in the play offs.

Whilst I acknowledge not doing that is a money spinner for the club, it would be as an act of thanks, a way of those putting their money up front, usually at the close of another dismal season.

Back in the day your season ticket included a couple of cup games etc,

Thoughts.

Income and expenses from the four ties in each league is pooled and shared out so no you couldn't do that.
Just a thought mate but thanks.

What should happen is when you apply/pay for the season ticket you should have the option that if we make the play offs you will automatically get your season ticket seat and the club will.debit you the cost from a card that you have stored with the club. Would save a lot of messing around for those of us who would to playoffs whenever it was played.
Indeed along the lines of what I was saying.

Kinda exactly what they did, but instead of authorising a payment 9 months ahead and peoples circumstances change.. you had to click a few buttons nearer the time :)

I remember having paper tickets in the back of my ST years ago for cup games.

Not exactly the same, you had people in a queue when you had a short window to sell thousands of tickets.  Under this method you take out some of the people from the queue.

Also there was never paper tickets in the back of ST for cup games.  They were vouchers you had to exchange and pay for a cup ticket.
  • Do Wycombe keep the gate receipts from their home leg, and we keep ours?
I am guessing this game will clear £400,000 after expenses and VAT.

Split across all four playoff teams.

    Ah. Thanks.
My back of the envelope calculation is that (not including the final) each club has gained about £240,000 clear from the semi finals.

Tickets/tokens... whatever they were in there. It's over 25 years ago now and I was 13, so please forgive me for not using the correct wording.

If the club had a charge on hold for 9 months people would moan about that, hold fans tickets back for 3 days and people still moan that they had to go online to buy and be 'messed around'.

  • so not much of a money earner then.
