Orient have sold 27,500 according to their forum which is pretty good going. I guess they may get to 30k

Quite surprised by this considering i read they only sold 24k the last time they went to Wembley.

Clearly a lot of their support are enticed by it being a London derby and are only coming to see the famous Charlton Athletic.

Seeing as Orients general sale window ends at 5pm on Friday, I reckon we will be given a further block by block allocation after then.
Anything before that time then whoever makes that decision is opening themselves up for criticism for ‘moving the goalposts’.
Could you imagine if roles were reversed and some of our fans planned to buy on Friday only for the allocation to be reduced and they missed out.

Why would anyone put off buying a ticket ? How does that thought process work? I fancy going to this match but will wait til Friday to purchase my tickets ? I have often wondered why joint Valley Gold / ST got so long to decide if they want to go to a game which is on restricted sale. Sure, prioritise them but don't give them 4 or 5 days and make the process for non joint VG/ST ie all the other genuine fans who want to go panic about buying....

It does not make sense, if sales are slowing then the sooner we get the allocation the less stressful for everyone, particularly as the guy who alluded to the admin required...
Madness. But then we are only football fans....
The biggest thing that does not make sense is fans that qualified for certain sales windows could buy for themselves plus 3 other ‘randoms’ that fancy a day out.
Our average gate last season was 15k. That means the Wembley allocation that’s been sold out basically consists of 22k ‘randoms’, some of whom will have got along to a lot of home and/or away games, but not that many.

By ‘randoms’ I meant people without a cafc purchase history.
I have a purchase history from being a (lapsed) season ticket holder and was lucky enough to get a ticket when that window opened.
Some people I know with similar circumstances weren’t as lucky.
I just think being able to get 3 additional tickets for people without history is not fair when others with more Charlton connection miss out.
My frustration is that I have probably been to enough games over the past 2 seasons to have the loyalty points to have bought in the earlier batch, but given the ease of getting tickets previoulsy I have often bought on the gate when making a last minute decision on an evening game, or had tickets bought by who I occasionally go with and not linked the accounts.  Therefore I have a lot of "missing" loyalty points because I bought without my fan ID.

If I miss out today and more tickets dont become available I will be very frustrated and may change my view, but I also feel that fans with the huge loyalty point totals and fans with season tickets who go to every home game have earned the right to bring friends/family along for the big day out.  I could potentially argue that it should be 2 tickets per fan ID / season ticket etc. (as this would have allowed me to get tickets by now!) but I can see the rationale to get the tickets sold as soon as possible, hopefully filling the stadium
I don’t have a ticket (distraught doesn’t get close to describing how I feel 😩 - attending for over 50 years, former season ticket holder, just not able to get to many these days).

I’ve also been to games that I didn’t purchase on my account, and have paid for a CharltonTV subscription for the last 5 years or so (just after I moved to Luxembourg…😉).

However, the not buying tickets on my account is a lesson learnt.

Appears I have 1 final crack at getting one today, but not holding my breath as I can only use levels 1 & 2.

As disappointed as I am, I am delighted for everyone who managed to secure a seat.

Without getting too complacent, it should be a hell of a day!

    COYA!!
Go on the members only ticket availability thread.  You'll get one that way.

It’s the Met that are playing silly buggers, so I’ve heard. They don’t want a full Wembley.
Spurs and Fulham at home later, with Man City and BHA fans coming into town.

It’s getting a bit late for an extra few thousand tickets now.

I think London can manage 3 games. City and Brighton will only be bringing about 3k each.

Got 2 tickets - wanted 4 but lucky to get 2. Tickets sold out, hopefully will encourage Wembley to release more.  My tickets print at home, and received in my inbox all ready.
Getting the tickets was like some really shit video game. Thought had 4 but they disappeared from basket, not sure what I did / didn't do. Hopefully can get 2 more for family / partner in the same block if they get released. Quick to sell tickets, that's good but it would be nice to have more than 10 secs to see what you need to do and when clicked on seats, they should stick for at least enough time to process them to the basket
Modern bloody living. At least got 2 tickets.
Brilliant, you buy now & get tickets immediately.
Most who bought Saturday are still waiting.
Oh well, they'll come through eventually.
Obviously they arrived 20 mins after posting this.

Another example of the Premier League destroying English football.

The final weekend of the league season should have been played by now so that the Play-Off Finals had clear air.
Not to mention the shitty kick-off time , just to accommodate the wanky PL, which is all done and dusted now anyway.
I had a whinge about that a few days ago so couldn't be bothered with a repeat ;)

That’s really impressive, considering the way they have gone about selling them! Probably close to 100% of their ‘active’ fanbase. By active, I mean people interested enough in Leyton Orient to go to at least one game a season home or away, or take an interest in results by the week.

So, these extra tickets. I've seen the question asked a few times but haven't seen an answer yet - were these the middle tier 200 tickets, the ones that may have been held back for hospitality? Or were they somewhere else?

I reckon a lot of the 200's were released today. Wembley are probably still retaining some of the best ones to see if they can shift through their affilliates for a lot more money and if they can't shift 'em then they'll appear.

I'm no expert, just my hunch.

I'm fine with the premiership ending after the FA Cup final, as that competition is meaningless now, but no way should it still be ongoing during the playoff bank holiday weekend.

Aren't the tickets on the halfway line around the dugouts reserved for Club Wembley/EFL and the 2 playoff finalists for friends and family? Suspect some of that might go on sale last min

The FA Cup is only meaningless because the Premier League has destroyed that as well!

The FA Cup is the oldest organised association football competition in the world. It has plenty of meaning & history. The fact that football fans can be convinced to view it as ‘meaningless’, just shows how much money does corrupt, and the great job Sky has done in brainwashing people. It’s like saying visiting your nice old grandad is pointless, as you could visit your horrible uncle instead, as he gives you £20 a visit - albeit to get away with rodgering you.
