  • Tbh if I was Orient I wouldn’t give them back, why should they? In what world would the opposition have even more of the stadium
Maybe the extra money they'd receive (gate receipts from the play-offs are pooled and distributed between the Football League and participating clubs) would be a factor?

Even if the O's don't want more dosh I'm sure the FL do!

For anyone in the queue now, yesterday I had the tab opened on my laptop and also on my iphone with the Charlton App. The Laptop gave me a waiting time of 32 mins and the Iphone app 4 minutes.
What do you mean by the charlton app? Asking because im on my laptop!
  • I've not really kept up with this as I knew that I couldn't go but I was talking to someone yesterday who said that VG & Season ticket holders had been able to buy up to 12 tickets, I questioned this as I thought normally it was 4 but he was insistent that it was 12. This is bullshit isn't it ?
yeah only 4, but could buy 12 in 1 transaction if they had 3 ST/VG accounts linked to one account.
    Ah ok thanks
  • Surely there are no tickets coming on at 2pm, not without fair warning. Unless they've plucked multiple thousands from somewhere.

There's a charlton app for the iphone. Search for in on the app store. For some reason I got through the queue quicker on it.

Yes that’s the one Gravesend as per desperate for tickets we covered that back through the pages - ranged from everyone relax anyone who wants will get a ticket then moved onto don’t dig out the club for comms they’ve been working hard to oh perhaps they could have sorted their comms and now where are tickets brought and where are the additional 1400+ new tickets - pretty much brings us upto speed

And don’t get us started on people who say “brought” when they mean “bought”!
I thought it was spelt bort.

    👍🏻
  • Are the queues today just to get the extra 1400 tickets?

The official  CAFC App includes access to the ticket portal (see bottom of the picture below).

It’s just another way of getting in, but I believe the queues are random anyway…

They said there'd be an announcement prior to further sales - well soon find out what's occurring.
  • People I know in queue now and it coming up on screen as event starting in 3 minutes….
  • You know your life is thrilling when you're eagerly now awaiting 2pm to see how fast the next batch of tickets go.

SAle starting at 1400. Maybe all existing tickets are null and void and resold with booking fees being waived

Fuck me, are people really arguing about transaction fees when they're supposedly  desperate for tickets.  I despair at times.

    Sunday needs to hurry up!!!
It makes you wonder how people get through the really difficult obstacles in life….like putting the kettle on, boiling an egg and how much toothpaste to use.
My butler deals with such issues...🙄
  • At least we knew yesterday to head for the top tiers for tickets , whereabouts are the 1,400 allocated today ?
  • Seems no more tickets were added at 2pm but the queue was still triggered.

That tells me that general sale has now started and the 1400 extra won't be reserved for database members?
  • Yeah. Nothing on there
  • Showing sold out.

    I can't believe I haven't got a ticket.

I can’t believe how shoddy this ticketing process is .
This isn’t the first time one team will have 30k ish and the other team can potentially sell 50k ish .
Surely there’s a process they go through and as one team nears the last 5k of tickets they have(time dependent as in how near to kick off they get to these numbers) they then request more , if available , they then get released and the whole process should be reasonably smooth and it keeps the tickets available and stops panic/attempting to buy in the other end .
segregation will be in place in each tier and it’s just a process of see where sales of seats are late on and after Saturdays Match move the barriers/netting/door closures etc  along to accommodate the next fixture
it’s not rocket science , are there just fuckwits everywhere in this world or am I missing something that’s making this whole process so difficult/farcical.
Also with print at home/show on phone , why have they not gone out immediately, it’s not like those tickets where the QR code or whatever the fuck it is keeps changing .
Bang the fuckers out with the email confirmation because they will surely have been allocated a seat and make the whole process less stressful for Joe Public .
Its a bit more complicated than just releasing tickets though. Logistics, policing, safety all have to play into it and then the politics of the two clubs.  Ultimately, Orient benefit if we buy unused seats as the revenue is split between EFL & Clubs as a %.  My only fear is that they leave the extra tickets too late into the week and we don't sell them all as people have made other plans.
If people make other plans, they can't be that bothered, unless they are travelling from abroad or have specific issues.
  • Queing......but nothing available. Maybe they are practicing set up for next batch of tickets to be released ? (hopefully)
