Let's be honest, probably the happiest fans in football right now are the fans of Middlesbrough and Southampton, who won't have to put up with 40k charlied up day trippers looking for a fight around Wembley all day.
Yapping on about "manze pie and mash, old kent road, bermondsey the manor !!!" Even though they all live in dartford and bexleyheath

I wouldn’t be sad if we had a season as good as Millwall have had this season next season.
If we did, our home average attendance would likely be around 23-24 thousand.
What surprises me about such a big game yesterday was their attendance was under 18,000.
I am not sure Millwall fans should sing ‘No one likes us’ so much as ‘We don’t like us’.

The only gave Hull the top tier. Not sure what each stand holds though. I think we got 3k, but with bits either side not for sale. So I guess last night was probably pretty much full (of day trippers).

    OK.
I haven’t seen any film or coverage so I thought Hull would be given the whole away end.

Was second best tonight and without doubt Hull deserved it. Just didn’t turn up and went to pieces in the second half. Just what Alex Neil was thinking taking Sturge off for Doughty I’ll never know. Never expected to win the play offs but a trip to Wembley would’ve been nice. Weren’t to be though. Still been a great season.

I bet Doucher is busy w**king himself in to a frenzy as we speak. He finally got a prediction correct!! 🤣🤣🤣
But the amount he threw about one had to land sooner or later. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Bless him.

Anyway, have a good summer every one and see you next season for the usual 4 points 😉👍
still obsessed with me / charlton even straight after a choking defeat - if only you could get as up for promotion games as much as games against us eh !! - let's hope you don't lose too many key players this summer  :D

Looked like Hull had the upper away stand and the lower was kept empty ,probably on police advice

I think that's pretty much the max capacity as they couldn't sell the lower tier of the away end.

They were joint winners of the FA Cup in 1886 - well the East London FA Cup.

They shut the bottom tier of the away end, 18k must be near capacity.

why do they close the bottom tier?

So their little darlings in the ends of their side lower tiers can be protected from those nasty away fans.

To give them an advantage or they can’t trust their fan to go walk about.

So many fans of other clubs are gutted as well. They were desperate for Millwall in the Premier League.

What happened to “no one likes us”? They’re everyone’s darlings these days…
I would suggest that's mostly online fans who don't actually go to games and just want to see the clipped videos on Twitter off some account called Football Fights or Proper Football or something of fans fighting outside games. None of them will ever step foot near Millwall or even the team they reckon they suppor

I dont usually give two monkeys about their results and that includes over the years, I treat them like any other club i have no connection too, But this changed after their behaviour at the valley this season, and afterwards in certain establishments in the area.

I tuned in at 19.55 to hear their faithful singing no-one likes us. blah blah.  For god sake talk about getting behind your team. Morons.

So glad they lost and hope we can upgrade to a better team to give them what they deserve.

Surely someone connected with the museum can buy that and fans can pay to have their picture taken under it whilst visiting. Gotta be a money-spinner!

Thank god the media love in with those cheerful cockney lads and lasses from darkest, Bermondsey, Peckham, Rotherhithe, Deptford etc will now dissipate back to normal complete obscurity levels. In the last couple months, they have become the darlings of footie. With a MASSIVE support home and away, an atmosphere like no other , a welcome breath of air to the Premiership, etc

They can now go back to being a famous for fuck all, except being a bunch of pretend gangster faces who play at being Tough, ard, Hooligans every Saturday.  Said, before their crowd is more like Fulham, than the Millwall of 30,40,50 years ago.

Ultimately it counts for nothing though. They've fucked up their best ever chance to reach the Premier league and will now potentially lose a couple of their better players.

And if you look back, had they won at a pretty hopeless and already relegated Leicester side in their penultimate game they'd have gone up.

Is there a case that Millwall are one of the biggest bottle job teams in football?

4 Championship play off semi-finals. Lost them all.
In all 4 semi finals they had the second leg at home. They won none of their 8 semi final games.

Then in the 22-23 season - lost 3 of their last 4 (including to rock bottom Wigan) to miss the play offs by 2 points. In their last game they were 3-1 up at home to Blackburn and lost 4-3.

25-26 - a win at already relegated Leicester would've kept promotion in their own hands. They drew 1-1. Then in 2 play off games against a Hull side who had the worst defensive record in the top half of the championship, they didn't score a goal.

We often hear about their 'feared' atmosphere but ultimately when it comes down to it, they're a team that can't handle the pressure.

The only way this lot would win a Championship play off is if they played us.
