  • I'm in Spain for over a month and would fly back, but with it being bank-holiday weekend/ half-term, the flights back to Alicante on Sunday or Monday are ridiculously expensive.
My son will just have to go on his own!

  • Cork.
Just at the Gate at Stansted now to go home from last night 😎
    safe travels x
  • In from Texas, also for less than 48 hours.
    😊❤️
  • Also flying in from Calgary with my eldest daughter (10), plus a drive down from Edmonton at the start. Making it a long weekend in London and planning some quality time with her to cushion the blow if we lose.

    Which airline/day you flying Oakster?
Wednesday evening Westjet to LHR - couple of days work & then meeting some of the old gang
  • Bloody awkward for me. My son is going to try and get us tickets but it also drops one weekend before my daughters wedding. I will be flying to and fro from Faro twice in short succession with all the cost implications amongst all the other organisational stuff. The wife (a fooking Palarse fan) is already dropping the daughters wedding or football bombshells.

If I was about to marry, Charlton would have won, no questions asked, but my daughters wedding, that's something else..

And I thought the playoff semis were stressful.

...I'm having to fly in from Manchester. The trains over the Bank Holiday are running slower services and take 4 hours direct, and I can't come down the day before, meaning I'd not get into London until just before 12. Not worth the risk of delays!
My son has the same issue with the trains on the day so will be travelling the day before.
There is a coach from Manchester Chorlton St to Golders Green that departs around 5am ish and is about £13, takes about 5 hours. Golders Green to Wembley is only a short hop then train it home?
  • Yep, I’m on the slow train the day before and coming back on the Monday.
