Cased model train available.

A friend who was a very accomplished artist died of cancer recently and I’m helping his brother clear up. As well as hi artwork, there were a bunch of models, including this one.

Can anyone identify it?

For a small donation to a cancer charity, would anyone like it?  It’s about 2’ long, the case is handmade to fit, and it would need to be collected from South Norwood.

If that's the world's biggest steam loco, how small does the case have to be for the world's smallest one?

From that Kenefick Park entry: “On static display in the park are examples of two of Union Pacific's most powerful locomotives: EMD DDA40X No. 6900, the first of the class, and Big Boy No. 4023.[3]”, the name of the other one trips off the tongue really easily doesn’t it?

If it's the Rivarossi model, it would be worth around £200 on ebay. Not much use to me but check to make sure you are not giving it away too cheaply

Agreed. It looks like it hasn't actually been used, just displayed, so mint condition albeit not with the original box, which affects the overall price
