  • Sexy Beast - Ridiculous casting of Ben Kingsley to play a villain.

You are kidding me - he was the film! No one else could have played that part better - no way, no f***ing way, no no no no no no no no no no no no no no

    Genius casting in my opinion

I thought it was appalling acting in a very poor film. Only highlight was Ian McShane paying out Ray Winstone, brilliant scene.

    Don't bite . We all know he's deluded ;)
  • Slumdog Millionaire, I just found it quite boring. I think the hype made me expect a GREAT movie..... and it was just an average one for me.

  • Delighted to disagree with Chirpy on all four. Although London Boulevard wasn't all that, it was a lot better than at least two thirds of the films I have ever seen. All the other three were among the best.

Now Blair Witch Project on the other hand...
  • Lost in Translation. Terrible pile of cack.

I'd support Donnie Darko as a great film, I seem to get something more every time I've watched it.

Sexy Beast, Ben Kinsley gave a brilliant dark, menacing performance not quite matched by all the rest of the cast.

Donnie Darko - boring, unoriginal film about an outcast yawn yawn and the twist at the end isn't so much a twist but a "... So i've wasted my time watching this film right?"
Black Swan - Oh wow, a lesbian scene and the story mirrors that of swan lake. That's no where near enough to make a good movie, didn't like any of the characters and felt bored by it all.
Rubber - Not well know about but I heard from a couple of mates that it was incredible. It isn;t, absolute cack 70 minutes of virtually nothing.

Fight Club is a brilliant film up until the end, which makes is terrible and although the entire film is a little bit surreal, it just takes it too far.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind i thought was a great film, as far as romantic comedies go, it's one of the best. Overall a decent watch though.
  • Hangover is terrible, honestly didn't laugh once. Everything with Will Ferrell in is ususlly pretty poor as well but always seems to be a big hit with the general public.

All the Star Wars films lead the way though. IV and V are okay but still only 3 out of 5. The rest are all terrible. Never understood why they have such a large and obsessive following.
  •  Easy Rider.
    good soundtrack though.

Hangover gets another vote from me.

Also, Unforgiven didn't really do it for me, I never really got into the Western genre it was deconstructing so it just seemed hours of grimness. Good performance by Eastwood but my god it was depressing....

North by Northwest . Hated it .
  • I really disliked 'Inception', there was nothing clever about it at all.  It was actually mind-numbingly boring.

I didn't get it it all.
  • Agreed, don't think the writers of the film got it either.  Bizarre.

Joe Pesci as Tommy Devito ( Goodfellas) and Ben Kingsley as Don Logan ( Sexy Beast ) - two of the scariest characters in movie history.

Spot on. 2 of the nastiest on screen characters you would never like to meet.

Every film in the Star Wars series
Every film in the Harry Potter series
Every film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series
Every film that was ever made in 3D

  • Blimey Stig, you have sat through a lot of crap. Didn't you realise you didn't like any of them after the first installment of each series? Glutton for punishment is the expression I would use...
