Just stop it now. It's embarrassing.

In fact, gloating or not, I cringe whenever I see fans of other clubs on other forums acting like an ambassador for the club or something. Bloody annoying.

It only comes back to bite you in the future anyway. Hence why I never taunt mates when we beat their team.

Surely we should know that more than anyone given what's happened over the last 5 years.
  • wendies do ask for it though.
No doubt.... but all it does is bring us down to their level.

We need to appoint, following a series of tests and interviews, a small, select group of gloaters to go on there and do it with style and wit, in contrast to the current team of illiterate clowns.

They just deserve it though. Arrogant and deluded. And we're the best team in the league and it feels sooo good. :-)

Agree. No point in trying to reason with them, they just can't see sense.
    :D

Yep. A teams forum should be left alone. If the boot was on the other foot we'd be pissed right off.

If you fancy having a pop at them, use twitter - the whole world sees it!

  • i agree lurk read amuse your self bring the threads back here but wait till the end of the season , i certainly am

i said they would struggle to finish 4th and i stick with that

big hoofball football gets you playoffs in this league, play football be brave and convincing in your ability to play the game you love, gets you out

Never gloat but was told on twitter by an Owl that after today and our match next week they would be top of the league, so I had to tweet him just now and point out our massive win.

Let`s just let the team do our talking for us. No need to go on there spouting off!
  • Can't wait to get home Ian on tram at the moment from the ground

    Can we make this thread the official gem posts from their forum, if so;

''That stoppage time was just one of the atrocious decisions from that coont of a referee.

EVERYTHING went their way, Madine was battered about, got punched in the face and yet got booked for jumping into someone. They couldn't let go of our shirts every time the ball came near.

The O'Grady shot that was blocked with hands, late on the ball punched off the line.

Sorry I'm ranting here but I'm so fooking angry. I know we weren't at our best, key attacking players weren't at it, but we never had a chance against him. He wanted to show he wasn't intimmidated by a big home crowd, and did it by giving everything to them.

    Fooked off''

That's quite a statement from a fan of a team who can't beat anyone half decent.

Setpiece Wednesday = Flat track bullies.

imagine losing to a team bottom of the league instead, owlstalk will probably explode

  • No big deal IMHO. Nothing anyone's says on a fans forum will have any impact on reality. We are top and have just beaten very big rivals whose fans actually need the piss ripping out of them.
  • Is there another Wendies forum where the sane ones go?

More embarrassing than losing to Bury, Bournemouth, Walsall or Carlisle? More embarrassing than being stuffed 5-1 by Stevenage? Short memories they must have.

I love the fact that Scowcroft highlighted that they're a long ball team with no Plan B and it was clear that we played football to get to the TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
