    and the rosette sellers at the top of Floyd rd. As a kid the sight of them mean't we were nearly there.

    I remember all the houses that would let folk park their bikes for 3d in the late 50's.
    Believe it or not some of the players used to cycle to the games.

    my dad mine, and my mum knitted a scarf about 13ft long.

    I remember all the kids moaning when they charged 1 shilling for John Hewie testimonial programme (double the norm) unti an adult turned to us sternly and said "do you know who that is son, Do you know who that is?"
    Course, we had total respect then so we shut up!
