To make up a £25k cost, assuming Charlton take 2,000 if the game is on tomorrow and 400 if it's re-arranged for a Tuesday night, they would need every fan to spend, including tickets, £15 which I don't think is unreasonable. There may be slightly higher costs associated with the additional crowd (maybe they need more stewards and additional police presence) but I doubt it would be that high.
I wonder if you can just hire a pitch heater at short notice though and that may be the issue ?0 -
Wouldn't be that short notice though would it? If you follow the weather forecasts then it's been clear for at least 4 days tat there was a possibility of this fixture being put in doubt.0

But I'd imagine even if the game isn't postponed at this inspection, a further inspection will be scheduled for 10am tomorrow, at which point it will be cancelled, with the message being communicated around 10.30am, after most Addicks have set off.0 -

Referee's tend to err on the side of caution on these things, so 50/50 means off .

Got trains booked ages ago and was making a weekend of it elsewhere. So if games called off so be it, as long as the trains are running we're still going (and hopefully able to come back again!)
