I havent promoted myself on here for a while, but as I posted in the "looking for work" thread my company went bust at the tail end of last year and I'm shortly to be out of a job.

Since then I've been working on my website especially in terms of promoting myself as a wedding photographer to try to find another way to make ends meet.

This is my new website with various galleries, and also the opportunity to buy various prints. It's mainly my travel photography but now with an emphasis on wedding photography as well.

If anyone is interested in getting a quote for my services or just has an interest in photography please go and have a look.

Thanks all.

  • May have a booking for you. One of the chaps who works for me is getting married, to date he hasn't booked a photographer so i will pass your details on to him.
  • That would be great thank you.

Also prices on the website can be negotiated to "mates rates" if it's through anyone on here. thanks

Okay i will pass on as I know someone who has just booked a wedding. Expensive business.

I dont suppose you will be at the sponsor's dinner this year Greg?
  • I'm working on that one, so I hope so. I've done photos the last two years so I hope I can make it a third successive year.

Why do you restrict yourself to 3 wedding shoots a year if you are short of work ?
  • good spot. I hadnt updated that bit from last year. thanks

    Oh great.
  • Excellent website Greg,Easy to use and navigate.......
If you do not mind me saying so you have really come a long way since we talked.
I love the colour balance you have used on the 'landscapes'.
I turned down a wedding shoot the other year,(not really my cup of tea, and a load of specialist people doing it) so will certainly keep you on my referral list.
Good luck, and keep at it.....
  • Thanks Ken, much appreciated.

My one regret is that we used a "national" company to take our wedding photos. Wished I had seen sense and used someone like you Greg.

Great website, as Ken says, easy to navigate.

    Nikon or Canon?

I shoot on Canon. I have a 5D mk II as my main with a 5D as my backup.

I guess that depends on what you're hoping to do with it. There are numerous fields you can get into and all of them are tough to break, especially with photography becoming more and more affordable and it being easier for amateurs to produce good quality work. In short I dont have an answer for you but if you're very good then the cream will always rise to the top. Whether I'm good enough to break into wedding photography time will tell, but if it's something you're passionate about I'd definitely recommend having a crack at it.
