My Nan has just started reading it on recommendation of a neighbor in her early thirties.

    Should be interesting.

Read book one half way through book 2

It is entertaining however it is also very poorly written, rushed in parts and dragged out in others unneccesarily so.

It an erotic, mystery romance. The first book regardless of having 4 kids and commitment I read within a 46 hour period. It is truly captivating. Halfway through second now third has just arrived in post. The first book has a lot of sex and what I call 'extra curricular sexual activities.' They are a 27 year old man, with dominatrix and stalking tendencies, who happens to be a powerful self made billionaire and a 23 year old university graduate virgin. The man has a very troubled past and is hiding a lot (hence) the mystery, he has never had a girlfriend and never had 'vanilla sex' before merely submissives in his 'red room of pain'. '50 Shades' represents different sides of his personality. The second book delves more into the darker side of Mr Grey...

No, honest. The words mummy put me off. Anyway books like this have been around for ages. I just wonder what made this take off. I've read that the sale of soft porn literature has rocketed since the invention of the kindle. So have a nose on what the person next to you is reading.

Well let us know how that fist up your.backside goes Dazzler !

Curb It, straight forward repackaging coupled with the popularity of edevices such as Kindle, has helped break the taboo with it.

Given the rising popularity of sites such as Literotica over the last ten years, it was always going to happen at some point.

    Just gutted I never thought.of it.first !

Just like Harry Potter it should never be read by blokes!

Potter is for kids, 50 shades is for women, just never get the 2 confused.

There is no fisting in the book.

it's not as taboo as some may be lead to believe.

My bird is reading it. I got her to quote me a few sections, it was so poorly written.

However, as i joke, i have been writing my own, called 50 Shades of Dave. I personally think its better, and more realistic
