Dean Sinclair take a bow
I barely remember even seeing him play to form an opinion on him.
And Garland was one of my favourite players at the time. Big Fat Pete had a thunderbolt shot on him, and was more cultured with his passing than people gave him credit for.
I am truly struggling with midfielders who were that bad.0 -

McCormack has to be one of the worst on ability and performance, especially as he was one of the worst of our time in the third tier.0
-
McCormack, so called tough tackling midfielder who did not tackle, shirked more challenges than Rommedahl and spent half the game argiung with the ref.
Honourable mentions to Faye, Dean Sinclair, Pouso, Alonso.0 -

Didn't think McCormack was that bad - feel that both him and Francis were made scapegoats.0

Who's worse then benty? Tom Soares wasn't all that mind...0
-
Gary Churchouse
Vigo Jacobsen
both pretty dire.0 -
Neil Redfearn, Brendan O'connell, John Barnes (except for one game against West Ham), Therry Racon (all hype), McCormack - never wanted the ball just used to chase the opposition...0

Scott Sinclair? Didn't see a lot of him but was hardly inspiring when we did see him...0

Alan Davies lasted one half at Shrewsbury after coming here with a big reputation having played for Man Utd in a Cup Final .
Go along with Churchouse and Jacobsen although the Dane looked keen on his debut against the Hammers .
More recently Pouso .0 -
Martin Christensen
Dean Sinclair
Alan McCormack
Amdy Faye

Surely we had a worse keeper than Weaver over the years? That has the makings of one helluva team though!
I will see your Dean Sinclair and raise you that Iranian bloke we once had.0 -

I missed the one substitute appearance he made, so can't really comment on his ability. Curbs clearly wasn't impressed.0 -
Sorry, didn't actually post his name!

Didn't think McCormack was that bad - feel that both him and Francis were made scapegoats.
Really?!
I agree with you about Francis, he tried at least and had a decent cross on him, but McCormack?
He couldn't tackle, had one foot and seemed to be physically incapable of passing the ball forwards. On top of that it seemed like he really didn't care how bad he played. Terrible all round.0 -
Unfair on Christensen and Sinclair.
The first didn't ever play and the second played about 3 games and actually scored a goal.0 -
So do I. Leaving aside loanees, who are only with the club for five minutes and perhaps lack the commitment to the club full timers should have, I'm afraid that young Mr Bacon was the most inept midfielder I can remember playing for us. Shame really as he was a product of our youth team.paul bacon
I agree with you!0 -
Has to be Faye. Anyone who can smack an attempted back-pass from the halfway line out for a corner while under no pressure from the oppo has to have something about them.0
