Not seen him for a while but a couple of seasons ago he was a very very good champ player.
  • A very good player at this level as well as a proven goalscorer. The hope is it is a done deal before the tuesday night game.
  • Who is the centre half with a similar sounding name that i am getting confused with?

    Robert Huth?
  • That's the bugger
  • Saw Huth play his first game for Chelsea in a 'mixed' 16s/18s game for Chelski againts CAFC 16s back in 2001. He was about 6' 4' and looked 30 years old......stood out as sheer class (my sone was playing for CAFC)

I'd be very pleased with this. Proven Championship player and goal scorer, strength and a perfect partner for BWP.

Decent player, though seems like he has been around forever!

    Not sure to be honest.

Scored 2 goals in 22 apps for a title winning team. He might not be all about goals, but that's Leaburn territory. Since the start of last season, he has played in just 3 games.

Rusty would be what I would expect
  • I mentioned him in the Kermorgant injured thread.

To be honest he hasn't played a lot, be surprised if he actually does sign.

    I'm hoping for Wickham still.

Agree he must be rusty but at least the "U21" games provide fitness.
  • He's only played 24 league games since May 2010. Plus if his recent time at QPR is anything to go by, he's more interested in money than actually playing football.

Not given a squad number in the summer and was told he could go on a free, but said he wanted to stay and honour his contract. I accept that's his right and fair enough, but to me that translates as, i'm on far too much money to bother leaving.

Hulse turned down a move to the Spanners last season because he wanted a crack at the Prem with QPR and Hughes played him a couple of times in League matches at the start of his reign.

Whilst Kermorgant is out as a three month loan why not ? He has played most of his career at this level and been promoted out of it a couple of times I don't think we could attract anyone better

He'll be OK .. at least he is experienced . He's more 'of a Hayes than a Fuller' .. IF he comes he'll fit well with Fuller or Wright-Phillips

More than good enough for us IMO. If we can get him before Tuesday even better especially of Fuller is still ill.

    A scenario for you Chris.
You're earning £600pw at your job and your boss says that you're no longer needed. You are bound by a contract, so they can't just show you the door without paying you for the remainder of your time. So, do you walk, not knowing if you'll get another job straight away and knowing full well that it won't be on the same money? No, me neither.............
He knows where he stands and is probably waiting for the right opportunity to come along. At least (along with the wages) he's keeping himself fit by training on a daily basis.

He will fit into our team well. He's certainly not a goal-scorer type forward, but still good.
  • Just hope this signing is due to Yann's injury and that there isn't more to the Fuller 'rumours' that were on the other thread....the one that was removed.

Good cover, I reckon he will be itching to play football and keen to impress.
