Shure are really good. My V-modas have a lifetime guarantee. I've sent them off to their head office, unfortunately in Hollywood and they've sent me back a brand new pair! I'll make sure I won't drop the new ones in the toilet!0

FLAC vrs Ogg, I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference with my HD555s. Might invest in a better pair of cans in the new year.0

If ur going to spend that sort of money, thr pioneer hdj 2000's are incredible, i use them for djing. The dre beats are good, but overpriced and are for fasion.0

I don't really understand people saying Beats are about image or fashion. They sound great but I wouldn't say they make me look particularly cool. There are plenty of things I would put on my head if I wanted to look good before big chunky headphones.0

I think to look cool you need them around your neck rather than on your head ;-)JaShea99 said:I don't really understand people saying Beats are about image or fashion. Go Bose every time when considering noise cancelling headphones. Just upgraded mine to Quiet Comfort 3.0

In my experience Bose are great, sennheisers are great, dres are rubbish and skull candy are weak and break easily.0

I bought a pair of Beats Studio in Hk last week, they were about $100 cheaper than in Singapore.
I love them, bass is excellent, but I use them for business travel not for normal commute. I have a pair of bose as well and the beats are superior to them especially in build quality.

BOSE= buy other stereo equipment.
I have the cubes with a sub, they're alright but when put up against a pair of floor standers with a sub you know Bose are the Dr Dres of the living room.0 -
Got some beats. Can't complain too much. Decent sound & most importantly they've lasted well without any problems.

These are more than fine for the commute. Sound quality is excellent.0 -
I had some Sound Magics a while ago, the build quality was awful, fell apart after a month or so. I hope they have improved since then.0

I've got some beats studio headphones and think they are brilliant, sound quality is very good. Got them in the states for a reasonable amount.
I have used a few different pairs when DJ'ing and these would do the job just as good as comparable ones0 -
You lot seem to know your stuff. I'm looking for a set of headphones/buds that have good sound quality but most importantly won't bleed out on the Tube at high volume. Anyone know of any reasonably priced gear that meets that criteria?0

It's very difficult to give a brand because when I was working I was not concerned about the noise leakage. I do know the beats ones do this very well but there is no way I would wear them anywhere like the tube (the studio ones I mean) Panasonic of all people used to make very good headphones as did numark but I suppose the best way is to do what everyone should do these days.
Go into a shop, try out loads then get the ones you like for much less money ;-)0 -
Got a pair of Beats Solo HD. Pretty decent for indoors but walking around with them on is not for me as I hear the stomp of my feet as I am walking.0
