The day one of our own nearly put him through the train window on route to Bolton FA cup QF for spilling beer on and abusing a pregnant woman.Goonerhater said:the day he was seen with a Smallwall top Chelskie shorts etc and still Charlton !!
The time he got a slap at Gillingham after the knocked his bird about
He has next to no front teeth less brain cells and is now proper Wall-------a complete and utter twonk.0 -
I think Scooby supported us during The Prem years & disappeared with the other 10,000 (thankfully).0
-
I think everyone frm that era is on here and I can name them all!!!!!nth london addick said:Every one at eaglesfield supported millwall !!!!!!
No they never loads of us are on here from that era cpl
In my year group there was very few i knew of that were stupid enough to support that lot
I would hazard a guess of 20/30 max CAFC in a school of 1500 D

I can't believe I was that fucked at school to not realise

I had a little issue in the goldsmiths tavern new cross with a few millwall as I told them I supported charlton , scooby was there and was near useless0

Eltham was originally the main meeting place for our firm. The Castle in Eltham high street mostly. Also Sunday night disco.s down the pub at bottom of shooters hill along from cop shop ? My memory's gone was it the Welcome Inn. As for the off in Bexley I was there as were many of the old faces, initial grief was with the bloody kids from barn hurst who called them selves the RA gang, they didn,t claim to be Millwall until they realised the middle aged blokes they were getting a whack from we're the old men from Charlton. So, would take any claim it was Millwall with pinch of salt.0

Also fair play to Bunny an SLL they provide an interesting view from inside the den. Mostly, pretty fair an accurate. Including the comments re the kiddies getting a slap when getting out of their league with the bigger firms. There were quite a few occasions over the years when the juniors turned up early at Charlton and got sent packing. They do have a history, an can understand the pride in it. However, think its tarnished a bit in recent years, with the kiddys getting out of hand.
Also that reputation cost people's lives. Had what happened at the Luton v Millwall riot game ever been really looked, the Hillsboro may never have happened. But, what was a massive piece of crowd mis management, was lost in the riot and branded purely as hooligans. That night people went on the pitch to avoid being crushed! Ask anyone who was on that terrace it was scary, I was there and was shit scared I was gonna be crushed to death.0 -
After pages of utter crap Ralph good posts, we all know Millwall a lot of people we socialise with support them, I want to beat them more than any other team, and as Bunny and SLL say their wannabees are pricks. But after pages of utter drivel,a proper real world post. Their wannabees are dicks but, they have proper stalwarts like us who love their club, and I can stand and have a barney with them and really we are just the same.0

That RA lot caused so much grief for a brief period, couple of years younger than me but in such huge numbers they could do what they like, normally picking on people on their jacks.RaplhMilne said:Eltham was originally the main meeting place for our firm. Only those that were there can confirm that mate. My dad was there and tells it exactly the same. Those who were fleeing the crush were then whacked by the police as they thought it was a pitch invasion and then everything just escalated from that point.RaplhMilne said:Also that reputation cost people's lives. People will argue why do people have to take it as far as they did, but I guess this being a 1985 cup tie on a weekday evening, with 6000+ blokes, probably only going to go one way!

The main lot (involved in Bexley incident) in that old group are my mates (through playing football/living in north'heath). They didn't call themselves that, nor did they do people on their own. It was the hang ons that labelled themselves and became the bullying type.Sparrows Lane Lion said:

They are certainly no saints and not people you wanna get on the wrong side of, nor are they millwall. But they didnt do people on their own.
Most are proper #cringe about it now and have grown up.

There's a blast from the past.

Think there was a group from Sidcup using that term, few women assaulted on the trains etc. Thought the main RA lot were Thamesmead etc and sprouted from St Columbus school due what was happening?ValleyGary said:

Most came out of Erith school. A few from St Columbus joined due to the increase of kids coming from inner london and causing trouble.Sparrows Lane Lion said:

Still remember watching clips of that on TV....that away end at Luton must of held around 8,000 (a rough guess) christ knows how many were packed in there on that night.RaplhMilne said:Also fair play to Bunny an SLL they provide an interesting view from inside the den. Showing my ignorance here who/what are the RA...never heard of them.0

Bunch of dick-heads that got banned from every pub in the Bexleyheath/Barnehurst area over the last couple of years.Hastingsaddick said:Showing my ignorance here who/what are the RA...never heard of them.
I don't know any of them, but they were the sort of blokes that would only give it if they were together. If the were alone they would bottle it.0 -
i can assure you quite a few of them wouldnt brendan0

Its was a group of lads, mainly from Erith school, that regularly had fights with large groups of black kids from st columbus and woolwich. the group got larger and a few people started calling it RA.Hastingsaddick said:Showing my ignorance here who/what are the RA...never heard of them.
A few of them are a bit tasty but alot of the hanger ons caused trouble around Bexleyheath etc and played on the gang theme.
There was a huge fight in Old Bexley on St Georges day and 'RA' were involved. A few 'RA' labelled themselves Millwall and the blokes drinking in Trax Bar were Charlton...which is how we got onto the topic.
This was a few years ago now.
Proper sad really but when your from round here and you play football with them, you get to know all about it.0 -
Just going on what people have told me Gary. Like I say don't know any of them, but have come accross them a few times and have heard things from others.ValleyGary said:i can assure you quite a few of them wouldnt brendan

Scooby wot a total prick0

I believe it stood for Racial Attack, but could be wrong. The night in Bexley, they kicked off with what they thought were a couple of middle aged men, not aware that at least 30 of the old Charlton firm where there and that's who they were starting on. When they got fucked off, they came back in larger numbers and got fucked off again. Then when the riot police turned up they decided they stood a better chance against them than the old boys.0

to be fair there were alot of little mugs that play on the whole thing and cause trouble for the sake of it, but there are a few that are 'hard'.Brendan_O_Connell said:

Indeed. Hopefully they've all grown up now. We all do stupid things when we're young.ValleyGary said:

Ahhh, crossed wires again, I'm thinking back to the St Georges Day 2 or 3 years before that, must've been around 2003/2004 I think. Millwall & Charlton drinking quite happily as many knew eachother then I think something went on later that evening through too much booze.RaplhMilne said:I believe it stood for Racial Attack, but could be wrong.
