Young kid next to me in the West Upper padded seats threw a whole apple onto the pitch when we played Villa just after they had equalised....
It exploded about 2 metres into the pitch, couldn't believe nobody saw it....0 -

Should've thrown them off the West Upper and in to the North Stand with the rest of the scumbags.0

Threw a few paper aeroplanes, and some confetti... my mate once threw his mouthful of Bovril into persons infront hair.. think he was laughing at something0

Ancona away in the anglo italian a few Charlton players came over at the end of the match and I lobbed my T-shirt at them (I don't know why I was pissed) prolly as an insult to Darren Pitcher
The T shirt was then thrown back by one of the players and Stop Shouting stole it and put it on cos he had already swapped his Charlton shirt with an italian fan who bluffed him with a top swap and lobbed over a badge instead !!! (He'll be able to give the real version of events)
I was ok I had a jumper .... It was freezing0 -

Was at a Chelsea game in the 70s when I was narrowly missed by a flying bottle - was very tempted to lob something back.
Things were far more exciting on the terraces and far more dangerous .........0 -
Very true, Spurs fans throw oranges packed with razors at Man Utd fans back in the 70's.......so I was once told.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:Was at a Chelsea game in the 70s when I was narrowly missed by a flying bottle - was very tempted to lob something back.

We have scented wet wipes in the West Upper toilets but sadly I suspect there's not enough weight behind them to make the pitch.Goonerhater said:times have changed and we at CAFC are much more middle class so bog roles wouldnt be thrown it would have to be a bidet.

...which is why we get our butlers sitting in the Covered End to do the throwing on our behalfBournemouth Addick said:

Never used to buy them anyway, 'borrowed' them from British Rail or the bogs in the ground. Got hit on the head once by a bag of chips (cold unfortunately) at Brum - St Andrews before crowd segregation :-)MuttleyCAFC said:Toilet rolls are much more expensive now!

Leeds fan gobbed at me in the Auther Wait at selhurst, I coined him. Hit him straight between the eyes.
I dont regret it but i think he regreted his actions.

I remember that. One of the funniest things i have ever seen at an away game, when the badge came back and no top.oohaahmortimer said:Ancona away in the anglo italian a few Charlton players came over at the end of the match and I lobbed my T-shirt at them (I don't know why I was pissed) prolly as an insult to Darren Pitcher

threw my cafc top at the players after the awful Carling Cup q/final defeat at home v Wycombe (?) the season we were relegated from the Prem - being half 1/3 way up the East Stand it only reached the lower seats and I don't think any of the players noticed !!
but it made me feel better................0 -
Remember at Sellout in the play off game they scored early and a pie was luzzed from behind me at a celebrating Ray Houghton. Can still see it now complete with bite taken out of it. Houghton saw it and dodged it with a nifty swerve at the last second. Probably a Peter's pie, a Pukka would have nailed him.0

Threw the pink teddy at Brighton (Goldstone Ground) the day Paul Gorman scored with a header. Anyone remember the pink teddy?0

Only the obligatory bog roll from the covered end in the late 60s. Bog rolls kindly donated by British Rail Southern Region - sorry to any of you left with nasty skid marks as a result.
Also fond memories of, although not throw, me and my mates once filling up the hood of the parka jacket in front of us with peanut shells. Was ok til it started raining (on old east terrace) and the guy put his hood up. He was a big fella and we had to leg it sharpish.0 -
Re; Pink Teddy at Brighton; I'm fairly sure there was an accompanying chant as he was propelled around the terrace...along the lines of "pink, pink, pink teddy..." (catchy eh?)
Anyway, we won 2-1 that day and he re-surfaced at Barnsley a couple of weeks later in 1-0 win (Pardew penalty). This was PT's last appearance for the club.
