Lost 5 of last 6 now. "Interesting" Christmas period to come:

    Man City (H)
    Q P R (H)
    Man Utd (A)
    Arsenal (A)
    Everton (H)

On current form they will be lucky to pick up 4 points from that lot. And that is making the assumption that they beat a Q P R fighting for their lives.

Even if he doesn't get the sack the 14/1 on relegation still looks big on Betfair (generally 12/1 with the bookies). He has previous for taking a team down after all ;-(

I'd love it if he took them down. Love it.
  • Mark Hughes out Harry Redknapp in by December.

    Top predicting sir.

Arsenal Away looks the easiest fixture in that little lot

Mike Ashley's committed to Pardew and will view sacking him as an absolute last resort. I can't see him being got rid of before February, by which time they'll be in right in the merde.

Still looks a good bet for next to depart though. Mancini, Lambert and O'Neill look a touch vulnerable but can't see any of them vacating in the near future.

Don't think he will take them down but I do think he will lose interest in Newcastle just as he lost interest in us.
  • If Sunderland lose tonight then O'Neill will be under huge pressure and their next few games are:

    United (A)
    Southampton (A)
    City (H)
    Spurs (H)
    Liverpool (A)

And Reading and West Ham and Southampton?

Or is it a case that the players, staff, board and fans lose interest in him?

Personally I think its him who loses interest first, especially in players. That leads to others losing interest, and trust, in him.

Disagree with the "loosing interest" of clubs, that would probably compliment his ego, like saying he's only a good manager when he wants to be.

Pardew will turn Newcastle inside out from bad management and cluelessness on how to stop a poor run of form.
  • I see a bit of a pattern forming here and I was very suspicious about his sudden change from decent manager to absolute disaster once we dropped out of the Premier League. He's got himself locked into a highly lucrative long term contract and no doubt yet another huge pay off if/when he gets sacked. Call me cynical!
  • Another good result for Newcastle! Everton next game and just 3 points above the drop zone.

God help them if Ba goes in the window 'cos they have the second worst defence in the Premier League - to Villa who have shipped 15 in their last 3 matches.
  • Pardont doesn't have an 8 yr contract it is a yr contract which if both parties agree can be renewed every year for 8 yrs

Lost to Everton tonight making it 8 defeats in the last 10 League matches. And Ba almost certainly on his way :-)

    What's his odds now?
  • On a rolling one year deal not 8 so he will go at the end of the season I reckon

9/1 Skybet & 12/1 VC. Newcastle to go down now best price 9/1 but as low as 6/1.

  • " 8 years, Alan ? No, you must have misunderstood...

    8 MONTHS was the offer ! "

Following Pardew's outburst re the lack of investment pre season his price to be next Prem Manager to go is shortening by the minute - now 5/1 with some firms and clear third favourite to go. Has he fallen out with Ashley?

Got him at 12s few days ago, just hoping Lambert can get his act together!

Next manager to go is a tough one to call, so many loony chairmen in the Premier League - McDermott, Lambert and Adkins are all vulnerable.

I've stuck a tenner on Newcastle to go down at 8/1 - the Newcastle fans don't appear to have turned on Pardew yet, I reckon he's got at least another 4 weeks in the job, hopefully more.

Norwich away, Reading at home, Villa away are their next three games.

Like a lemming jumping over a Norwegian cliff I just had to go in before yesterday's game (at 16/1) backing Pardew to go for a 4th time this season. Following sustained support today he is now best priced 3/1. And if they don't get rid of him soon relegation beckons.

Only team of the 92 not to win away and with that record and their current form you wouldn't want to be backing Newcastle to break that duck at Villa. And that is followed by home to Chelsea and away to Spurs!
