I fear that you may not get any redress if you did as there is no 'statue law' for the English language but only 'common law' and as such the 'rules' change subtly over time. I raised the issue of starting a sentence with a conjunctive with my girlfriend who is a teaching assistant at a primary school. She informed me that is is now acceptable to do this if you wish to add emphasis to the sentence. But it still seems wrong to me!sleepy_head said:
