Palarse game

Do it. You never know what you might miss, my first solo away game was Sunderland at the age of 15 and we won 3-1. I'll never forget that match, and have the attitude that if you always wait around for others you're going to miss out on a lot of potentially great experiences, football or otherwise.Callumcafc said:Still don't know whether to go to this on my own.............. Football's always been a family thing for me so it's weird that no-one at home is as keen as I am. Leaves me in a bit of a hole wondering what to do.
It would be my first time at Selhurst, someone needs to convince me that spending 50 quid on a ticket and travel alone is a good idea.

Strange. I've spotted at least 2 threads on here asking 'who do you hate more, Palace or Millwall?'.nolly said:Told ya . Go back to your own board surely there is a poll for you to vote on on who's your biggest rivals . Weird club weird fans who creep me out with their obsession with us
Theres no recent thread on any of the Palace boards I look at. And if there are, it's only between Millwall and Brighton; and the bandits from the south coast win hands down everytime.
I don't even think there is a single thread on the Palace boards about Charlton. Or at least none that I've noticed.
I don't mind you lot. Harmless club with a decent manager. Never had a problem with Charlton.
Thankyou for not minding us.
If you look on your own forum prior to the game at the valley you will see lots of stuff. My personal favourite is 'how do I get to Charlton without shitting myself' or something like that.
Charlton away is like Watford away, it's a day where the whole family can go and bring the young kids. Always a fun day.
Oops.
and it was you said there was hardly a thread about us.0 -

Sums us up how? Telling a 13 year child who clearly has never been to an away game not to wear colours - or as other have put on that thread 'man up it's only Charlton'. Don't see the problem there. It's common sense.Baldybonce said:

I don't use the holmesdale online anyway, I'm on the other website, cpfc.org website. Though I did today spot a thread about Charlton, tucked away on the tickets and travel forum where no one ever looks. Or maybe no one can be bothered to post on it.0 -

Strange thing is, they try to pretend we have never taken the piss, and yet I clearly recall we always took the holmesdale every game in the 70's when it was pay on the gate. Pretty sure we did it in the 80's as well.0

I recall that day before the game Charlton in pubs near the 'ground' singing the usual anti-palarse repertoire with no resistance from the plastics.0 -

If taking the piss involves walking along Floyd Rd, arms outstretched, gobbing off behind a line of riot police only to get sparked out as soon as the line of police ends then yes, they have taken the piss on many occasions.Croydon said:Someone in that thread actually says "taken the piss how many times?
