The club is potentailly a tax write off for the myriad companies in the Mittel and Fernandez 'empires'. Harry does like to spend a few quid of o p m (other people's money). I would not bet against QPR staying up. Samba is one of the world's best defenders and Harry has already got them well organised. All he wants now is a goal scorer

I think Samba's ok, but I wouldn't go as far to say he's "one of the worlds best defenders"

£129.2m spent by PSG on recent transfers.

Crazy money but at least they are trying to do the right thing long term like City rather then a Chelsea/QPR situation.
Can't see what's so right about it. Club with no history gets bought by foreign owners who throw cash at it by signing up big names. What's so clever about that ( and different to Chelsea?)

Well i have not done a detailed look in to how they run there current plans but when i was lucky enough to have a tour of the club with a local journalist friend, they seemed to have a lot of plans to expand the club and make it one of the big clubs in europe long term by spending big now with a view to not having to long term, similar to the Man City plan.

Not that im saying it is completly right just a bit different to the wild spending certain clubs go on with no plans past the next season.

Looks like 'arry's up to his old tricks of bringing a club to the brink of financial ruin again.
  • Can see why Harry didn't get the England job.

Then he'll walk away into a nice new job without a second thought. Bloke has a charmed life.

Chris Samba is one bloke you do not want to come up against if balls are being pumped into the box. Absolute mountain.

Harrys dog to sort out our finances ?
  • OK. Fed up hearing about Harry's inbox.

Just how many new players has he charmed into signing and how much cash has been splashed...so far ?
  • Harry looked tired on sky tonight...he is trading off getting more than a point a game since he took over and hoping (!) for back to back wins to catch Villa and the rest...
I recently found out that QPR lost £23M when they were promoted - a championship record!!! So I have no doubt they will try again should they come down ... but is there a big club underneath it all ? No chance!

I think their capacity is around 23k...........they need to move or expand if they want to survive in the Prem
  • It's not even that big, their capacity is 18k
  • The genius of Redknapp.

When he took over QPR, they were 20th and 6 points from safety.

Since then, he has spent £23m and added god knows how many more millions to the wage bill.

They are now 20th, 7 points from safety.

  • They are in deep shit and if they go down it will only get worse. Sit back and enjoy the show.
  • are a hilarious football club.

In fairness his record is significantly better than that of Hughes, mostly with the same team. He has only just recently signeda number of players players, and all of them, bar perhaps Jenas, have resale value and would be instantly jettisoned if the club were to be relegated. It's more people like Cissé, Boswinga, Park and the like that Hughes brought in that they will have trouble shifting.

Don't think players like Samba who is on 100k a week is going to be leaving anytime soon, if they go down they'll struggle getting rid of most the team.

thats the thing with Rednap, he is only interested in the here & now - not bothered about what happens in 6 months time if they are relegated. Buys players without thinking of the future consequences - will those want to play Cahmpionship football & if not will the club able to sell them.

    QPR - the next Pompey................

Unfortunately we have also found that if you buy in a panic you don't get your money back...Faye, Traore, M. Bent, Diawara , etc

Did we buy M Bent in panic? I thought it was a case of us over paying for him but not a panic move.
  • They need to win about 7/8 of their last 12 to stay up really as they only have 17 pts. Surely won't happen.

Especially when you consider that they have won only 2 of the previous 26 played....
