  • Not for me, last time I went Leicester last season to see Leicester V Cardiff, after Chesterfield got called off 5 minutes after we got on the train.

Don't remind me about that day, was close to Chesterfield when found out.

The last time I went to Leicester away was the day England won the Rugby World Cup in 2003.
Watched the game in a pub in Kings Cross - absolutely plastered by 8am.
I remember staggering onto the train clutching a carry out bag with about 10 cans of lager along with many other addicks. The families using the train seemed very worried.
I remember drinking in a pub before the game and then nada, zilch.
So although I have been to their new(ish) ground I can't really tick it off.
    Did we win?

I'm sure it was a draw - PDC Penalty equaliser very late on ?? Gutted, I had already left for the station. Was in the Leicester end on a corporate !

On the 9:55 from London, announced that it was called off at 10:00, thanks for that. Still had a few beers in Leicester weren't a bad day.

Surely the entire North Upper should be going as they are always shouting about following Charlton over land and sea and Leicester...

Probably my biggest game of the year.

My "second team" is Leicester (through my dad), which means if Leicester are playing a game I support them, but if we are playing them I cheer Charlton on more than ever, as if we were playing Palace/Millwall. I like seeing Leicester do well but if they miss out on automatic promotion because we get 6 points on them, my dad will not hear the end of it.

I also insist that it is divine intervention that Yann missed that penalty, which infuriates my old man more than anything....

What's more, the poor bugger is taking a half day off work to come and watch the game with me and my brother and will be sitting in the away stand with us... Having already sat through us beat them earlier in the season... When Yann scored I can honestly say it was one of the top 10 moments in my life, written in the stars etc.

funniy because that was the last time I went to Leicester as well - I was holidaying in Wales with my now ex-wife and our first born who was only a few weeks old at the time as well as her parents. They came home that day as I drove to the game. I was gutted that I couldn't see the end of the Rugby final as it went into extra time and had to listeen to it on the radio in the car - celebrated Wilko's last min goal by hooting my horm at all & sundry...........didn;t go down that well in sleepy Welshpool !!

So, yes I'm going this time & as its half term I can take my 9 yur old son........who was that littk baby way back then !

Certainly pleases me!! :o) Doubt I would have made it if it was on Wednesday.
  • Says on the official website only 359 tickets sold , thought their might have been a bigger take up as its half term?

Looks like Paul Konchesky gave the Leicester supporters bit of a pasting last night on Twitter. He got some of it back as well!

Think a few would be waiting until they knew what day the game was on
  • I think your right RC.
  • Just phoned to buy three tickets for Leicester and was told coach is sold out!
Now me and my mates can't go because of the return train being so early.

    Not happy.

Start a thread requesting a lift ? You can chip in for the petrol, someone may oblige. Obviously need to say where you need picking up from.
  • Nathan Appreciation Match?

Can do a minutes applause in the sixth minute for the years spent on their board, or in the 24th for the months he's been signing on?
