    Now they are in trouble!

It takes more than spending money to be successful. If Ambramovich is frustrated now what will he do if they take a downturn under another manager? They are unlikely to find a better one
  • Shocking timing just a couple of matches in the season.
They should have done that during the summer.
  • he was fresh and different when he first arrived but got boring with his constant moaning about officials etc...but for the good of the game he broke arsenal and uniteds grip on the premiership
  • We were the only club to beat them at home under him, weren't we?
  • us and barcelona wasn't it??

Of course, part of the reason that Arsenal and United have had such a grip in the Premiership is that those clubs have stuck with their managers through good times and bad.

    You can't buy class.

Mourinho is key to glory - Kenyon
Chief executive Peter Kenyon insists Chelsea's hunger for success will not cost manager Jose Mourinho his job.
Kenyon says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's long-term plans for the Blues include Mourinho at the helm.

He said: "There's loads of speculation that if we don't win Jose gets fired, but that's not the way we think.

    19 Sept 2007
    Mourinho leaves Chelsea
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has sensationally left his job at Stamford Bridge.

24,000 crowds for a CL game
    No manager
    2 best players out injured
    Corrupt owner
Financially in a mess (without Roman)
Already behind leaders in the league
    They all smell

I actually think he was good for the English game broke the Arse/United stranglehold on the game and injected some passion.

will be very interesting to see how Chelsea go now.

    Chances of him at Spurs??

Doubt he'll go to Spurs, he's talked about the Portugal national job a lot and maybe an excuse to sack McClaren!

Think Chelsea will end up like Inter Milan, spending loads of money for no return, and changing manager every 18 months

Spurs would be the best option in the Prem at the moment, but surely he is likely to go to a top club like Inter, Real etc even if he has to wait a little while.

He could come back to manage Man U in a few years though!

    oh how i jest.

i can see this making or breaking them to be honest.

    Scenario 1
Chelsea's new manager takes the team on, gets them playing some sexy football and they win the Champions league, the league and become a worldwide brand in 5 years time with no need to rely on Roman

    Scenario 2
Chelsea's new manager is crap, they win bugger all, Roman leaves and Chelsea go into freefall. ha ha ha.

  • Gus Hiddink ;- )

Also a good day to hide some other sackings so if you are Chairman of a struggling Championship side looking for a good time to axe yet another manager today's the day.

Surely then today would be the very last day he would do it knowing how much he craves the attention ;-)

The Isralite guy looks the most likely but there are rumours flying about that the only reason Roman has been funding the Guss' Ruskies is to keep him sweet for the Chelsea job.

CL Final is in Moscow this year as well - its bound to happen isnt it?
  • Isralite! LOL What book have you been reading?

Jose was like a breath of fresh air for that league, thought his arrogant smugness was well justified 99 domestic games unbeaten at home says it all really.

If the FA are watching go get him now & get rid of MacLaren. This bloke will turn an average National team into a potential Euro Championship winning one.

Avramm Grant (Current DIrector of Football) expected to take over according to SSN.

    This is total madness.

When you think that Fergusson had over four years before he won anything at Manure. Wenger is given pretty much all the time he needs. Chelsea have had an opportunity to create a fortress which would be almost unbreakable yet they have chosen to pull down the walls.

Apparently Abramovic didn't like the style of football. To my mind the style of football was driven by the pressure on Mourinho to win every season. Give the bloke a five year remit and I'm sure he could have developed their style. Its a crazy position.

Come on FA, you know it makes sense, get in there now and offer him the moon.
