i have had a few offers of 1 and 2 tickets, looking at the best way to consolidate these tickets and get all three of us into the stadium.
thank you everyone for your help and the laughter.
i will happily report back with my thoughts on the match and a picture. even though im a west ham supporter, since you are playing millwall that day you can guarantee im supporting charlton!
Well it won't be a sell out, so if you've had offers of single tickets here and there then take the offer (make sure they are in the same stand) and then just find 3 spare seats together.
are all of the stands separate or are any connected?
The away stand (south/jimmy seed stand) is seperate, but saying that, you cannot walk around the rest of the "connected" stands from stand to stand either.
so, i must make sure to get all the tickets in the same stand, correct?
Yes. Not much point have 2 tickets in the east and 1 in the west.

If people actually look at some of the things that have been posted here (this chaps previous forum work talking about West Ham for example), then they would know he's clearly genuine.
Think quite a few Charlton secretly hope there are some Millwall fans in the home stands next Saturday for the sake of a bit of excitement - not that many would do anything about it!
You lot seriously think this fella is Millwall? What a stupid wind up it would be and a long drawn out process to get tickets when it's easier to do through other means.
& no Millwall fan would pretend to be west ham!
Tbf mate you aight but some of your lot are right mugs that would do those things. A lot of your support ain't even about to football don't forget so I doubt they'd be too bothered about impersonating wet spam

I'm pretty sure when it comes to Millwall theres a large portion of our support that would do something about it, just not necessarily on this forum.. the lot that went to Millwall away looking for some action will be back for this one.
People are treading carefully.. either way let's hope any Millwall fans silly enough to sit in home stands find themselves in North Upper.. good luck to 'em i say
This discussion has kept me pretty entertained on a Thursday afternoon and I can add to it.
I'm working out in NY at the moment and I could go and meet thethinwhiteduke and confirm its him living out here in NY depening on where he works. I've sent him a private message so will see if he responds....

Good idea, that will work. Just one problem, how do we know that you're not Millwall ? Can we send someone round to verify you, before you verify ttwd ?
In all seriousness I joined in Nov 2006 even though I very rarely post so would be a very elaborate scam. I'm not that bothered tbh just bored on a Thursday afternoon!

You sure? Didn't the proper lot keep their nut down through New Cross and only piped up once wrapped up? The lot in the ground were just over excited because once outside they could've got onto the main streets very quickly. I can't see them mobbed up 50-100 handed attacking Millwall as we drink in pubs around Charlton. All much ado about nothing. I'm expecting to turn up, have a drink early doors nearby, see us win/lose/draw, then go back locally for a few more with barely a whisper of grief.
If World War 3 breaks out I'll be very surprised, but who knows.
TTWD offered to come and meet me halfway (we work fairly far apart) at lunch but I had to pull out because of work.
If you look at my post history the last post I had was about finding a pub to watch the Charlton Palace game and I even met up with NewYorkAddick and another Charlton fan there.
Thats my contribution to the thread finished unless he fancies meeting up later on.

Agreed. As far as 'proper' trouble is concerned, Charlton fans are very very unlikely candidates to be starting anything. A few Millwall will get caught out in the stands, frogmarched off, and only then will they start getting a bir of verbal back. We all know it!
You'll be lucky SLL, I think all of the pubs will be closed before and after the game.
They weren't last time? Been told a few will be opening early doors, seems odd if the police stop it, just mean more people on the streets with beer or drinking away from the ground in areas less policed & more likely to kick off.

Ah ha - we played millwall on 04/12/06 so you my spanner are rumbled.
Are you sure about that AD? Not doubting you but I have heard differently. The manager of the Con Club as said that they are closed as will all pubs in the local area on police advice. Also heard that the club are keeping the bars in the ground open after the game until 3.30, not that you would want to drink too much of that dish water they serve up.
The Lib had a notice up on Saturday saying that it would be closed "for the staff's and public's safety", whilst I had previously asked in there and they said all pubs would be closed.
I spoke with the Licensing Officer who told me that pubs would be open. Thinking about it, I suppose that means that they can open if they want to but that they'll probably choose to stay closed.
I've seen the email from the police to all the local watering holes that had so many restrictions including licenced door men that it wasn't financially viable for most of them to open prior to the game. Those restrictions were in place until 4pm. Which is why I think the club are keeping the bars open after the game. Obviously that could change though.
