I was very near some Millwall fans in the east stand. I dont think they caused any real bother to anyone, empty seats all around them as normal in that part of the ground. The problem came when the second goal came, 3 Charlton supporters sitting nearly 2 blocks away made it a problem by getting the stewards involved. These guys wernt any trouble, no doubt paid their money for the seats and were enjoying their team win. They might have been the closest any Millwall fan has ever got to being human and some busy bodies had to make a pathetic point of getting them removed. We couldn't score on the pitch so I guess this was their way of getting an equalizer. Anyone ever been to an away match (anyone ever been to an away match!!!) and sat or stood with the home supporters? It was Millwall but that was pathetic and cringeworthy.
Yes there where Millwall fans in the West stand upper, did not notice them until one of the idiots lept up at their second goal, a few young boys looked as if they where thinking of having go bu thought bette of it. The stewards eventualy removed the Millwall fans. They the stewards dissapeared for rest of the half. Also noticed one or two Millwall in Bartrams before the game, suppose they had red cards to get in.

Are you having a laugh? They have used CAFC season tickets to get in, or to gain matchday tickets,so they should find the source of how these little feckers have got in, an take their ST's away!
Also, if they went over and confronted the millwall fans then you could maybe say they were causing a problem, but a millwall fan going into a home end is what's causing the problem to begin with.
You can not legislate for the reaction of any home fan with an away fan in their end
We are from the same area of London so unless he had millwall tattooed on his head it would've been impossible to tell the difference between home fan and away fan so they must've done something to say who they supported
I gather these mugs were the ones giving the bow gestures to the jimmy seed and the ones who the OB were sitting behind
Come off it Charlton keston - those millwall in the east (JS end) were lording it something rotten - an absolute piss take. If you did that at thier place you would get a kicking no ifs or buts. What made it worse this time was the (im assuming) clueless ob stood right in front of them. We in the north lower picked them out straight away as being millwall before kick off. Then it goes off in the north lower over mistaken identity and we have to stand thier getting filmed.
I remonstrated with the ob telling them thier mates in the east should do thier fucking job properly as they are taking the piss. He asked me what group and I said the lad in the cream top right behind your dopey colleagues. Two mins later he radioed through and they were gone.
Why it took me standing miles away in a diff stand to identify them for them I dont know.
Same will happen when Leeds come down.
Next time we play millwall certain CAFC will go in the east and do the job for them.
There are more important things in life than your ego being offended. As for giving them “a slap", next time, taking the piss, etc., listen to yourselves, is this how you speak to each other? As for "doing it at their place", no I wouldn't but then again I know how to behave in company. I go to football to meet my mates, have beer and watch the game not the crowd. Maybe a little sad but thats me. If Millwall fans want revert to type at every opportunity I pity them, not try and imitate them.
<blockquote class="Quote" rel="SE10">If you want to sit next to your rivals in harmony while discussing the fine art of happy clapping, I think you've got the wrong sport.</blockquote>
Perhaps you took the wrong turning out of SE10 and ended up at the wrong ground.
Millwall would seem to suit a "real man" like you better than a "happy clapping" family club.
i dont want Scumwall in our parts of the ground. The club dont want it and say people who sell tickets to em could loose the season tickets etc.
Yet when it goes all wrong its the people making the complaint who are slagged off on here ?
As for the Leeds game cple years ago ---they were siting in the East Stand one old boy pointed it out to a stweard who did nothing. Leeds then threatend to do this old boy at the end of the game-----he left-----shamefully none of you happy clappers did f++k all-------the steward did f++K all. We did. fronted the scum bags up and one got clumped------robo stewards came round and it was pointed out they had ignored the old boy --- and he had left in fear----------------shame on the club and those that sat there.
How anyone can think having oppo fans In the wrong end is fine but those who think its wrong and that they are taking the mick and are willing to tell them so or do something about it are wrong just shows why the club allow it to continue to happen
People say they don't like this sort of fan at their club but if the club acted correctly then there would be no issue
Charlton have never acted any differently even when one of those friendly millwall pals that someone got a ticket for tried to lump muzza
If you can get angry enough to froth at the mouth over a game of football I'd not want to cut in front of you at a junction, or queue jump you in Tesco's or bump into you anywhere ever in fact.
Justifying the kind of reaction, that sees people red in the face and screaming at other people, like I saw in the East stand towards the North end of the ground by saying its Millwall and they are scum etc etc.... Seems to me its a case of similar self control issues.
No one likes getting beat, no-one likes having their nose rubbed in it. Some people can be adult about it and some can't.
Obviously I didn't see everybody in the ground or lounges (and I was in the North East and North Stand lounge), but the only people I personally saw act like arseholes were a few of our own. Its not Charlton or Millwall, its arseholes and non-arseholes.

The OB were filming people in the north lower whilst their pals sat ten seats back from millwall in the east and didn't move them till 70 + mins
Anyone who gets their pals a ticket for this game knowing they are millwall are fucked up in the head especially as it is always the Cafc fans that get slung out for getting pissed off with it
I buy 4 x season tickets in the East stand every season and take friends and business clients all of whome support different teams. Yesterday I took a Millwall fan and his 10 year old son and an Arsenal fan.
Everyone behaved themselves, nobody around us knew my friends were Millwall/Arsenal and we all had a bit of banter.
The only thing that is "fucked up in the head" is way the way some twats behave when they are at a game of football.
Despite the club saying don't buy tickets for millwall fans in home areas you still did? Of course you can always rely on a ten year old not to get excited at a goal. There is a reason for segregation.
Thank you for that lesson on who and who not to invite to a football game but I really do not need it. As stated I buy 4 x season tickets every season and use the spare 3 to entertain business clients and friends, we always eat and have a few drinks in Legends before the game and as yet there has never been a problem.
I had 2 x Crystal Palace fans with me for their game, 3 x Sheff Wed fans with me for that game and I am bringing some Leeds fans with me on the 6th to name but a few.
I am a 55 year old grandad whose business attracts some very sensible clients, do you really think I am going to risk losing my season ticket by bringing idiots to the game?
For the record the club states in their small print that no away colours are to be worn in Legends, I informed my guests of this last Saturday and they complied, however when we took our seats there was two large groups of Millwall fans eating in there some of which were wearing away tops, hats and badges.
This went completely un-challenged by the staff, the stewards and above all the police when they came in.
Interesting that when I went Palace away this season I sat in their boxes and the box next to me had a few Charlton fans in it. One bloke was singing Charlton songs at the top of his voice, slagging off Palace and even put his Charlton scarf on the railings... he didn't even get spoken to once, despite some complaints and lasted the 90 minutes.

I'm out here in Prague and my client and good mate is a Spanner. We did talk about going to both the games, but one of the issues was that we knew we just couldn't sit together because neither of us stay quiet at matches. Especially ones like this. It's kind of a shame for us, because neither of us mean any harm or remotely want any aggro. Bu we have to accept that people around us might get wound up, because the rule is - segregation. We know its the rule. We might wish it wasn't so, but it is. I've been close to away fans where I sit in the East at other games, but they kept quiet. So they didnt wind anybody up. But what's the point in staying quiet, especially if you win a derby 2-0.
NLA is right. Charlton need to start enforcing this. And we need to accept it. That is how English top level football is.

Sorry ESM - you obviously do need the lesson as I missed the bit where the club said we dont want Millwall fans in the home ends unless they are sensible or good for you own personal business needs. What if the kid had jumped up when they scored, and people started pointing your group out and expecting some kind of response from the stewards or police.

Prague, am I missing something here?
Smoking inside the ground is a rule and ther are signs diplayed to enforce this, do not run on the pitch is a rule and there are signs in place to enforce this however Segregation? Is it a rule?
How are opposition directors allowed to fraternise with ours if there is complete segregation?
There is surely a distinction between "hospitality" tickets where guests are entertained and ordinary tickets.
That said, before I get accused of being a Millwall lover, if the "guests" misbehave then they, rather than the home fans who draw attention to that misbehaviour, should be the ones to be evicted.
Thats the bit i dont get most of us have millwall mates some of the most harmless people in the world but you can not legislate for emotion at football if for example you were in the sunderland end at wembley cold you contain yourself when rufus scored
Its irresponsible because just because you dont react to those people doing that you can not expect everyone to react rationally especially as most woukdve been on the booze
Yet those that react are the ones who are the problem

I think you are being obtuse, but as I recall there are signs above the turnstiles saying home fans/away fans ONLY.
I wish that it was Ok for you to bring your clients/mates from other teams to sit with you, but it isn't. I've got another client/mate out here who is Forest, he has been to the Valley with me as a neutral, but we both know we can't sit together when we play each other, not here nor at the City ground
