    Madness. Good for us though.
It's the teams/boards who keep their nerve that will do well out of all this.

  • If they meander around and turn up next week with a caretaker fine but I don't think it is good news if they make a big play for a new man e.g. a Brian McDermott and it is the big start to their "new era"

He's recommended that Neil Redfearn take over for the rest of the season

    He's gone.

Leeds United have parted company with Neil Warnock with six games of the season to go.

The decision has been taken with a view to preparing for the 2013/14 season and Neil Redfearn will be asked to take control of first team coaching until a permanent appointment is made. This may well be after the end of the season dependent on the availability of the club's preferred choice to become the next manager.

A short-list has already been prepared as Neil was always going to leave at the end of the season in the event that we did not get promotion. However, with availability of suitable candidates changing all the time then we will adopt a flexible approach, so as to ensure that we make the right appointment.

Chief Executive Shaun Harvey said: "We would like to thank Neil for his efforts during his time as our manager and share his disappointment that we could not achieve promotion this season.

"We now need to look to the future and the search for his replacement is underway, for which there is no fixed timescale as securing the services of the right person is the primary objective, so as to give us the best chance of promotion next season.

"We would also like to thank Mick Jones and Ronnie Jepson, who will leave the club with Neil, for all their hard work since coming to the club."

He wants the club to appease the fans by letting him slide off now and not wait till the end of the season. Bit melodramatic but possible I suppose.

I pray it unsettles them for Saturday and we play them off the pitch to pick up three, juicy, lovely points. For personal reasons, my spite for them ranks alongside that which I usually reserve for Millwall and Palace.

Leeds are definitely there for the taking on Saturday, the team has had an awful season. Today against Derby they looked hapless, clueless and unusually for a Leeds team, spineless

They scored one and hit the crossbar twice. Don't count your chickens.

No need to shout. Yes they lost but my point is that saying they are there for the taking is perhaps counting chickens. That ok with you ?

How many times has this happened now a week before we play them? I think the owners / managers must shit themselves when they know Charlton is coming up.

I repeat, or rather re-emphasise and you, of course, are free to disagree or to express your doubts and fears ..... if ever a team was dispirited, out of sorts and 'there for the taking' it is Leeds and this Saturday I would expect us to take advantage of their fragile situation. I am not counting chickens, if I had said ' we will beat Leeds on Saturday, no doubt about it'... THAT is counting chickens before they are hatched

somebody had better tell CP then...............so often at home this season we set off on the back foot and the opposition have had half a dozen chances before we get going.

FOR ONCE it would be nice to see us on the front foot, get an early goal and put pressure on them.

Hopefully a similar result like Blackpool game at home, manager less and there for the taking
