You think we could afford Remy? He won't be playing in the Camoonship next season

Not sure you actually got what I was saying there. My point was that whilst QPR have been crap in that division he's been class and if we were a premier league side I'd love to have him play for us. I'm quite sure there are one or two players in the three relegated champ teams that would improve our squad as well.

Presumably you'd prefer him to either Yann or Obika then? Thanks but I'd stick with what we have.

We don't have Obika, as it stands.

Tomlin isn't an out and out striker in the mould of Yann or Obika.

Absurd to suggest that because he played for Peterborough he isn't good enough...

When George Boyd left Peterborough they were bottom of the table. does that mean he's not good enough?

I may be alone in this, but I am always intrigued when people seem to know so much about other clubs' players. Outside of CAFC, the only players I know a lot about are ex-players. How do others reach conclusions about opposition players; going to their matches (other than their ones against us), Football League Show, or just stats? I never have a clue on who we should(n't) sign.

Always looks like he's carrying a bit of timber, but I've liked him when I've seen him play.

Why look at players from a team relegated from the championship we need to be looking at better than that to improve this squad

So you're saying if we were still in the prem you wouldn't want to sign Sean Maloney or Kone from Wigan if they went? You wouldn't want to sign Loic Remy from QPR ?

Just because a team goes down it doesn't automatically mean their whole squad is crap.

Spot on. I would have no objections if we signed the likes of Adomah from Bristol City or Sako from Wolves. Just because a team gets relegated, doesn't mean they don't have some decent players.

Dean Kiely signing for us from relegated Bury is a reasonable example.

We should have signed him from Orient when we had the chance.
